VENETIA, PA, March 18, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel J. Lucas has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Lucas has led an equally diverse and impactful career defined by entrepreneurial vision, philanthropic leadership and a commitment to advancing both industry and community causes. As the founder and president of Customs Kicking Cancer (CKC), which he established in 2023, he has positioned the nonprofit organization as a vital force in raising awareness about prostate cancer. Also acting as the face of the charity at public events, he leads fundraising initiatives, organizes educational opportunities and has positioned CKC as a distributor of free in-home test kits at prominent venues such as major motorcycle rallies and NASCAR races.

Mr. Lucas' inspiration for founding Customs Kicking Cancer stems from deeply personal experiences of supporting his father through multiple recurrences of prostate cancer over the course of 15 years. Recognizing that prostate cancer affects one in eight men — mirroring the breast cancer statistics among women — he was motivated by disparities in awareness campaigns and funding between men's and women's health issues. Observing firsthand the challenges faced by men with prostate cancer, including limited access to screenings for those without insurance and cultural reluctance toward seeking medical care, he resolved to address these gaps through advocacy and education.

Alongside his primary tasks, Mr. Lucas leads the charity's public relations efforts, engages in social media content creation, recruits local volunteers, engages with Chambers of Commerce and collaborates with board members to ensure effective governance and strategic planning. His approach leverages partnerships with other local nonprofits to enhance event success and volunteer recruitment while implementing strategies to assemble reliable teams for effective outreach.

In addition to his philanthropic endeavors with Customs Kicking Cancer, Mr. Lucas has maintained an active role as a self-employed construction consultant since 2021. Drawing on his decades of experience in infrastructure development and team leadership, he continues to provide expert guidance on complex construction projects.

From 2018 to 2021, Mr. Lucas served as a deputy group manager at Granite Construction, where he oversaw major infrastructure assignments across multiple states. From 2017 to 2018, he held the position of project executive, managing large-scale initiatives and ensuring operational excellence in enhancing communities.

Mr. Lucas' entrepreneurial journey began in earnest when he co-founded TyE Bar in 2015 alongside Katey Doman. As vice president from 2015 to 2017, he was pivotal in building the first-generation steel manufacturing startup from the ground up. TyE Bar specializes in producing steel reinforcing products for concrete applications used in bridges, runways and roadways, primarily serving federally funded projects for the United States Department of Transportation and similar entities. Navigating significant personal risk alongside Katey Doman during this period, he leveraged personal assets and secured substantial loans to launch the company successfully.

Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Lucas built a formidable career at The Walsh Group Ltd. beginning in 1999. Over nearly two decades, he advanced rapidly through roles including Vice President of the Heavy Civil division for the northeast United States, program manager and Pennsylvania regional manager. At Walsh Construction — the largest privately held construction company in the country — he traveled nationwide and oversaw some of the largest infrastructure projects in the United States. Benefitting from comprehensive leadership training, he held many positions within the company before ascending to the executive ranks.

Mr. Lucas' academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Northern Arizona University, which he completed in 1998. Pursuing a path in engineering before he transitioned to construction management, he initially followed in his grandfather's footsteps but ultimately charted his own course outside of traditional civil engineering firms.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. Lucas attributes his success to relentless hard work — a value he is passing along to his children — and emphasizes that outworking others is more important than intelligence or financial resources. He is also grateful for the invaluable guidance he has received throughout his journey, noting that mentors likewise evolve as one's goals change over time. His belief is that good living principles, whether rooted in faith or simply treating others well, have played essential roles in achieving his highest ambitions.

Happily married and a proud father of four children, Mr. Lucas maintains an active lifestyle outside of work by riding motorcycles, working within the engine enthusiast community, attending car shows and caring for his dogs — including past participation in dog shows with a retired Shih Tzu show dog. He enjoys watching the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day while cherishing time with his family.

Aiming to raise awareness about prostate cancer among men over 40 who are passionate about motorsports, Mr. Lucas remains dedicated to expanding Customs Kicking Cancer into a leading charity within the motorcycle and NASCAR communities. He also seeks to educate communities about prostate cancer awareness month in September and the corresponding representative color light blue, while providing greater access to early detection screenings for men across the United States.

Throughout his multifaceted career as an entrepreneur, executive leader and philanthropist, Mr. Lucas has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to mentoring others, building high-performing teams and making a lasting impact on industry standards and public health advocacy.
