Mr. Orlov's earlier tenure at Wunderman Worldwide (now VML) included several pivotal roles: executive vice chairman from 2005 to 2008, president of global automotive operations from 2004 to 2005, chief operating officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2002 to 2004 and managing partner for automotive services in the United Kingdom from 2000 to 2002. In each of these positions, he demonstrated exceptional skill in leading large teams, improving fleet performance while overseeing a $200 million client portfolio.
In 1996, Mr. Orlov became both a founding partner and chief client officer at MCW and ROCQM, where he played a key role in establishing client relationships and driving business development in the international branding sector for four years. Prior to that, he was the director of communications policy and implementation for the United Kingdom branch of Volvo Car Corporation from 1992 to 1995.
Gaining valuable early experience in the luxury retail sector as well, Mr. Orlov worked with Avon Cosmetics in Europe as a marketing director from 1988 to 1992 — becoming the youngest executive ever appointed to a directorial position by the company — after serving as a business development manager from 1987 to 1988. Before joining Avon, he worked with Paperchase at WHSmith as a planning and merchandise director from 1984 to 1988 following his role as a retail development manager from 1984 to 1986.
