NORTH AUGUSTA, SC, March 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeff Kervin has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Kervin has established a distinguished career as the owner and certified arborist of Kervin Bros. Stump & Tree Co. LLC, a company he founded in January 1996. Over the past three decades, he has built a reputation for expertise in consulting, tree care, tree removal and stump removal. His daily responsibilities include arriving early to review schedules and assess priorities, evaluating job requirements to select appropriate equipment, and preparing crews, trucks and machinery for each project. He is known for his meticulous approach, inspecting tools and vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency before the team arrives. Throughout the day, Mr. Kervin responds to client calls, coordinates service requests, and travels to job sites to evaluate project scopes and conduct tailgate meetings focused on safety procedures. His leadership style emphasizes collaboration and efficiency, ensuring that each work plan is executed with precision.

A defining moment in Mr. Kervin's career occurred in 2019 when he was under contract with the South Carolina Department of Transportation—a relationship he maintained for 15 years. During this period, a federal grant enabled a significant interstate clearing project along Interstate 20 in South Carolina. Entrusted with substantial responsibilities, Mr. Kervin collaborated closely with department officials to outline an effective process that adhered to state bidding requirements. His team completed the ambitious task of clearing 21 miles of median in just 45 days—half the allotted time—by employing innovative methods that later gained national recognition at the National Highway Safety Transportation Conference in Maryland. The approach pioneered by Mr. Kervin and his team was subsequently adopted across the United States, setting new standards for highway maintenance.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kervin has prioritized building trust within his community over financial gain. He is most proud of the reputation he has cultivated, one that inspires clients to wait for his expertise and value his honest assessments. Many consultations result in thoughtful conversations rather than immediate action, as Mr. Kervin only recommends necessary work and avoids pressuring clients into decisions. This commitment to integrity has ensured a steady stream of projects and referrals, reflecting the deep respect he enjoys among customers.

Mr. Kervin's professional achievements have been recognized in several ways, including being featured in "Life & Work with Jeff Kervin of North Augusta, South Carolina" by Voyage South Carolina Magazine in 2025. He is an active member of the International Society of Arboriculture and the Georgia Arborist Association Inc., organizations that support ongoing education and industry standards.

His educational journey began after high school when he briefly attended college before realizing it was not his preferred path. Instead, Mr. Kervin became a firefighter and emergency medical technician, working approximately 10 days per month while seeking additional income. This led him to invest in a stump grinder in the late 1990s—a time when many tree companies did not offer stump-grinding services. Recognizing a gap in the market, he began providing these services independently before expanding into full-scale tree removal operations as demand grew.

Mr. Kervin's transition from emergency services to entrepreneurship was shaped by valuable lessons learned from experienced colleagues in structured environments. These experiences informed his approach to business management and customer service, emphasizing quality artistry and exceeding expectations rather than overcommitting.

In 2020, Mr. Kervin earned certification as an arborist from the International Society of Arboriculture, further validating his expertise and commitment to professional standards.

Beyond his business endeavors, Mr. Kervin is civically engaged as a volunteer at Sweetwater Church and as a sponsor for Little League teams and local recreation departments, demonstrating his dedication to supporting youth activities and community well-being.

Born in Augusta, Mr. Kervin enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors—especially at the lake—and working on equipment during his leisure hours. He is married to Allison Kervin, a retired school teacher who dedicated 28 years to education before retiring in December. Together, they have twin daughters, Carson Kervin and Gracie Kervin, both of whom graduated from college in December 2024; one daughter earned a master's degree in December 2025.

Looking ahead, Mr. Kervin intends to continue providing high-quality service to his community while maintaining the standards that have defined his career thus far. He reflects on past accomplishments with gratitude and remains open to future opportunities arising from significant projects or contracts yet to be undertaken.
