She also earned a Master of Science in library science, with a focus on academic and law libraries, from Case Western Reserve University in 1972, and a Master of Education in higher education student services personnel from Kent State University Tuscarawas in 1986.

She is an active member of the American Association of University Women and the American Library Association, organizations that provide platforms for professional development and advocacy in the field.
