Leveraging decades of experience, Mr. Kirk served as the senior vice president of weather operations at Surveillance Data Inc. from 2003 to 2006. During this period, he played a pivotal role in advancing the company's capabilities before it evolved into IQVIA. Mr. Kirk's responsibilities included overseeing meteorological operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality forecasting services to a broad client base.
Mr. Kirk's professional journey began with distinguished service as a captain in the U.S. Air Force from 1989 to 1993, followed by continued service in the Air Force Reserve until 1999. His military background provided a strong foundation in leadership and operational discipline. A defining moment occurred during Mr. Kirk's tenure as a new weather officer at MacDill Air Force Base when he engaged in a formative discussion with then-General Norman Schwarzkopf. Mr. Kirk's academic background included earning a Bachelor of Science in earth and atmospheric sciences from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in New Brunswick in 1989. Mr. Kirk is also recognized as a certified U.S. Air Force meteorologist by the U.S. Air Force Third Weather Squadron in 1990 and has held a top-secret sensitive compartmented information clearance from the Department of the Air Force since 1991.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Kirk is actively involved in educational and philanthropic initiatives. Since 2012, he has served as a board advisor for Millersville University's Master of Science in integrated scientific applications business of science program.
