Dr. Liebowitz has established a distinguished career in healthcare management and consulting, marked by progressive leadership roles and a commitment to advancing the field. Since 2026, he has served as an Associate Director with Impact Advisors, where he is a leader within the physician enterprise team. In this capacity, he works directly with healthcare clients in their medical groups, focusing on evaluating physician performance, assessing patient experience, enhancing service line strategy, and access.

In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Liebowitz analyzes organizational strategies, including business models, service lines and the optimization of ancillary services such as radiology. Moreover, he spearheads business development for the team, maintaining robust connections within the health care sector to ensure that client needs are met through evolving internal methodologies.

In 2025, Dr. Liebowitz was appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at New York University. In this academic role, he educates future leaders in health policy while continuing to guest lecture at several prestigious universities. That same year, he served as a Director at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, overseeing the spine service line and contributing to operational excellence.

From 2023 to 2025, Dr. Liebowitz advanced from consultant to managing consultant at Berkeley Research Group LLC (BRG) in New York City. His tenure at BRG began in 2018 as a senior associate, where he provided strategic guidance to healthcare organizations and developed expertise in both ambulatory and inpatient care settings. His initial entry into BRG was facilitated by his active involvement in professional associations.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Liebowitz completed an Administrative Fellowship at Geisinger Health System in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, from 2017 to 2018. This role allowed him to rotate through various departments and lead projects as an integral member of the executive team. Prior to this experience, he served as an executive resident and researcher under the chief patient experience officer at Yale New Haven Hospital between 2016 and 2017.

Throughout his career, Dr. Liebowitz has been actively engaged in industry organizations. He became the Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Healthcare Executives (CTAHE) in 2026 and has served on its board of directors since 2023. He has co-chaired its sponsorship committee since 2021, and has co-chaired the higher education network since 2015. Dr. Liebowitz has been an executive fellow of the American College of Health Data Management since 2023.

Dr. Liebowitz's educational background has been instrumental in shaping his career trajectory. He earned a Doctor of Health Administration in Healthcare Administration and Policy from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2023, which he regards as his most significant achievement. He also holds a Master of Health Administration from Hofstra University, awarded in 2016, and a Bachelor of Science in community health and preventive medicine from Hofstra University, completed in 2015.

In addition to his formal education, Dr. Liebowitz has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous improvement through a series of professional certifications. He earned Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and White Belt certifications from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2022 and 2021, respectively. Earlier, he became a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer at Geisinger in 2018 and obtained Hospital High Reliability certification from Yale New Haven Health in 2017.

Dr. Liebowitz credits his success to his resilience and extensive professional network, a resource cultivated through family influence and active engagement with industry associations. His father's role as a risk manager at Yale New Haven Health, Bridgeport Hospital and his mother's work as a medical malpractice plaintiff's attorney provided early exposure to health care environments and facilitated his initial internship at Bridgeport Hospital.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dr. Liebowitz is dedicated to civic engagement and mentorship. He chairs the State of Connecticut Holocaust Commemoration at the State Capitol, a tradition founded by his grandfather nearly five decades ago, and continues his family's legacy by leading this important event. As the chair of the Master of Health Administration Advisory Board at the University of New Haven since 2025, he shapes academic programs for future health care leaders.

Dr. Liebowitz regularly guest lectures at institutions such as the Yale School of Public Health, Quinnipiac University School of Medicine, Hofstra University School of Health Professions and Human Services and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Since 2020, he has served as a career coach for AppCelerator and previously contributed as a course facilitator for TeamSTEPPS courses at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Further demonstrating his commitment to leadership and community engagement, Dr. Liebowitz has served on several boards and initiatives. He has been a member of B'nai B'rith International's Young Leadership Executive Board since 2019 and founded the Jewish Professionals Employee Resource Group at BRG, where he was active from 2021 to 2025. In addition, he was recognized as an ACCESS Leadership Fellow by the American Jewish Committee from 2021 to 2023 and contributed his expertise as an adviser to Bridge To Health USA between 2019 and 2021.

Dr. Liebowitz's achievements have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Award from CTAHE in 2025, the Leadership Award in 2024 and Education Advocate of the Year in 2023. He also received the CTAHE Leadership Award in 2022 and the ACHE Regent Award for Early Careerist from the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2021, as well as earlier honors such as the Fairfield Public Schools Superintendent's Award and the Heroes Honoring Heroes recognition from Peoples United Bank and the Town of Fairfield Police Department in 2011.

Born in Bridgeport, Dr. Liebowitz balances his professional commitments with personal interests including playing lacrosse, skiing, cycling and running. He finds fulfillment mentoring graduate students interested in health care careers beyond traditional hospital roles.

Looking ahead, Dr. Liebowitz envisions himself either leading a health care management consulting firm or returning to provider-side leadership within a health system with aspirations toward chief operating officer or chief executive officer roles.
