In 2013, Mrs. Tharp was a co-manager at Cold Stone Creamery, where she honed her leadership skills by overseeing daily operations and staff management. Mrs. Tharp's diverse background early on also included roles such as land administrator at Mason-Dixon Energy Services LLC and videographer and photographer for World Vision International, documenting local projects that supported humanitarian efforts.

Mrs. Tharp's academic background included earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, WV in 2011. She credits her educational experiences with equipping her with essential communication skills that have been instrumental throughout her career.
