As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Reid has established a distinguished career in the field of industrial gas management and environmental sustainability, currently serving as a senior project manager and industrial gas team lead at ClimeCo LLC. In this capacity since 2025, he leads a team executing nitrous oxide abatement projects within the voluntary carbon market, manages two direct reports and spearheads initiatives to improve processes and standards across multiple functional groups. His responsibilities also include training and mentoring junior project managers, assisting with business development related to international nitrous oxide abatement projects in China and India, and consulting with the Climate Action Reserve on updating and drafting protocols for nitrous oxide abatement at nitric and adipic acid production facilities.
Prior to being promoted to his current role, Mr. Reid was project manager and industrial gases team lead at his firm from 2024 to 2025. During this period, he began implementing workflow optimizations that would become his most significant professional achievement. By streamlining overlapping tasks and introducing efficiency-focused methodologies, he reduced project turnaround times from six to eight months to just three months. This transformation not only improved operational efficiency but also set a new standard for project management within the organization. He continues to assist other teams in adopting similar procedures, identifying suitable project management tools, onboarding team members and analyzing workflows for further optimization.
During the preceding year, Mr. Reid served as project manager for industrial gases at ClimeCo LLC, where he contributed to the execution of key projects and supported the company's mission of environmental stewardship. His leadership extended beyond technical responsibilities to helping to launch the ClimatEquality Employee Resource Group in 2025, which has since expanded to support LGBTQ+ employees and allies, fostering collaboration and discussion within the company.
Before joining ClimeCo LLC, Mr. Reid built his expertise at ESC Spectrum Corporation from 2017 to 2022. As project manager II, he managed complex projects for clients in the power utility industry as well as industrial sites, such as paper mills, refineries and manufacturing plants. He also held the position of project manager I, where he co-founded processes and tools that enabled efficient management of more than 200 projects. His earlier roles at the firm included project engineer, systems specialist II and systems specialist I.
Mr. Reid's career began at Bee in Austin, Texas, where he worked as a project engineer from 2016 to 2017 after serving as a staff engineer from 2015 to 2016. At this firm, he conducted energy audits for commercial buildings—including military medical facilities with the U.S. Army—analyzing electricity and water usage in heating, cooling and plumbing systems. His recommendations for equipment upgrades and software adjustments helped optimize energy consumption in large-scale facilities.
Educationally, Mr. Reid's foundation includes a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Baylor University Graduate School, earned in 2015. He previously completed a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at the same school in 2012 after receiving an Associate of Arts in general studies from McLennan Community College in 2009. While pursuing his graduate degree at Baylor University Graduate School from 2013 to 2015, he served as a graduate research assistant in thermodynamics, a field that inspired his commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
Mr. Reid also holds several professional certifications that have contributed significantly to his career advancement. He earned the Project Management Professional certification in 2024, following his Certified Associate in Project Management certification in 2021. Additionally, he completed Visual Basic in Excel coursework through Wall Street Prep in 2023.
With an early interest in mathematics and science, Mr. Reid gravitated toward engineering after considering various career paths during high school and college. Initially drawn to computer science due to his passion for video gaming, he ultimately found mechanical engineering more aligned with his interests—particularly thermodynamics and system efficiency analysis—which shaped his focus on environmental sustainability throughout his career.
Mr. Reid is an active member of the Project Management Institute and has received numerous accolades recognizing his contributions to both industry and community. He was honored with the ClimeCo Stewardship Award in 2025 for his leadership in overseeing company operations, mentoring programs and internal initiatives. Throughout his career, he has been recognized as Employee of the Month at every company where he has worked.
Mr. Reid's technical expertise has been acknowledged by ASHRAE with multiple awards, including Technical Paper Awards and Willis H. Carrier Awards. During his schooling, he was named to the Dean's List and was included among Who's Who Among American High School Students.
Civic engagement has also been central to Mr. Reid's values. Since 2023, he has volunteered regularly at a local nursing home, providing support beyond family visits by assisting around the facility—a commitment inspired by personal connections within the community. He also participated in ClimeCo LLC's annual team-building events focused on volunteerism, supporting a local food bank during an event held in Houston and volunteering with a Philadelphia-based glass recycling organization, sorting bottles and materials that are recycled into art or new products.
As an advocate for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging within his organization, Mr. Reid authored an internal blog post highlighting the importance of World Down Syndrome Day on behalf of ClimeCo's DEIB Community Council, raising awareness about Down syndrome through personal experience.
Mr. Reid emphasizes the importance of active engagement in environmental and sustainability initiatives. He recognizes that climate change is a significant challenge, but consistently underscores the value of small, practical actions—such as recycling on a regular basis—as meaningful contributions. He believes that these individual efforts, when accumulated over time, can produce a substantial impact. Ultimately, he believes that addressing these challenges requires shared responsibility, as collective action is essential to safeguarding our planet.
In his personal life, Mr. Reid enjoys playing games—including board and video games—playing piano and listening to music. Recently promoted to a managerial position overseeing a team for the first time, he is motivated by opportunities for growth both professionally and personally through direct management experience as well as mentoring activities. Looking ahead, he aims to reach a director-level role by expanding his knowledge of company operations through participation in mentoring programs with senior leaders at ClimeCo LLC while continuing to make meaningful contributions through operational optimization initiatives and community involvement.
