GREENFIELD, MA, April 07, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Anne Royle has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Marked by her expertise in veterans appeals and appellate law, Ms. Royle has led a distinguished career of more than three decades in the legal sector. Since 1997, she has served as an attorney at the Veterans Law Office of Mary Anne Royle & Associates, PS, Inc., where she oversees a law practice dedicated to guiding veterans and their family members through complex appeal processes. Recognized for its impact on the veteran community, the firm was honored as the winner of the Veterans and Military Organizations category at the Best of Vancouver Awards in 2022.

Over the course of nearly 30 years in her role, Ms. Royle has become renowned for her commitment to assisting veterans in obtaining service connection benefits, which she considers among the most rewarding aspects of her work. Her longstanding advocacy has led to significant achievements, including having her writing featured at a presentation by the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates and, with assistance of counsel, prevailing in a challenging federal case. Additionally, she has handled numerous federal and state-level criminal appellate cases, one of which was highlighted in The New York Times.

Concurrently, Ms. Royle has maintained a self-employed legal practice in Madison, Wisconsin in 1992, New Haven, Connecticut starting in August 1997, Vancouver, Washington in September 2003, and Greenfield, Massachusetts in September 2023. In this capacity, she continues to provide legal counsel and representation across a range of matters, further solidifying her reputation within the legal community.

Ms. Royle began her journey in law with the establishment of the Law Office of Mary Anne Royle in 1992. Through this practice, she has consistently demonstrated her dedication to justice and client advocacy for more than 35 years.

Prior to and while establishing her law practice, Ms. Royle worked as a county and academic law librarian between 1978 to 2003. This experience fueled both her research skills and commitment to public service — qualities that have informed her subsequent work in law and desire to help others through everything she does.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Ms. Royle earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1990. She also holds a Master of Library and Information Science in librarianship from Emory University, awarded in 1978, and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Willamette University, completed in 1974. To augment her qualifications, she is admitted to practice law by the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the State of Connecticut, the State of Washington and the Second and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

Throughout her career, Ms. Royle has also sought to make a difference as an active member of industry organizations, notably serving as a sustaining member of the National Organization of Veterans' Advocates from 1997 to the present. Reflecting on her storied journey to date, she credits her determination to establish and sustain her practice as a key factor in her accomplishments in the ever-evolving legal realm.

Beyond her endeavors in law, Ms. Royle is dedicated to civic engagement through pro bono services and contributed several articles for librarians, demonstrating her continued commitment to knowledge sharing and community support. Her achievements extend into athletics as well; she set three national swimming records in pool and open water relay events as a master swimmer in 2017 and 2021.

Born in Vancouver, Washington and raised in Canyonville, Oregon, Ms. Royle continues to enjoy swimming as well as traveling during her personal time. She is a proud mother of three. She collaborates with her son professionally and aims to eventually pass her practice on to him, ensuring the continuation of her legacy in veterans' advocacy, family values and legal excellence.
