Throughout her corporate career, she continued to pursue her passion for beauty, working evenings as a hairstylist after completing full workdays, trusting God to order her steps.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Koontz gained experience as a hairdresser on movie sets and video shoots. While these opportunities were brief, they refined her skills and deepened her understanding of the transformative power of beauty—not merely in appearance, but in confidence and self-worth.

Committed to excellence and lifelong learning, Ms. Koontz holds multiple professional certifications, including certification in teaching hair extensions through Bellami, as well as certifications in microdermabrasion, advanced skin care procedures and eye lashing. Her journey into the beauty industry began immediately after high school, inspired by encouragement from a prominent hairdresser who recognized her potential early on—a reminder she credits as one of many moments where God aligned the right voices at the right time.

In 2025, she participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Monarch Beauty Academy's grand reopening with the Chamber of Commerce, symbolizing a new season of growth and purpose. Ms. Koontz is actively involved in civic engagement, fundraising for Bridge for Homes and volunteering with various senior centers in surrounding communities cutting hair.
