WHITEWATER, CA, April 09, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tamkin Amin Collins has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Collins has established herself as a prominent figure in the firearms and concealed carry industries, serving as founder and chief executive officer of Cakes Concealed Carry since 2024. Under her leadership, the company has developed an innovative line of concealed carry products designed specifically for women, with manufacturing operations and supply chain management headquartered in Bangladesh. She oversees the full scope of the business, from scaling production and implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to managing sales velocity, inventory, and research and development for new product lines. Her brand building efforts have cultivated a nationwide network of firearms instructors, anchored by training retreats and instructor certification programs that reflect her broader mission of making self defense accessible, sustainable, and personal for women across the country.
A defining moment in Ms. Collins' career occurred when a firearms instructor and assault survivor shared that after discovering Cakes products, her female students began consistently carrying firearms daily rather than abandoning the practice after training. This singular account illuminated the broader human impact of Ms. Collins' work, affirming that her mission extended well beyond product development to fundamentally change how women approach personal safety as a sustainable, everyday practice.
Before founding Cakes Concealed Carry, Ms. Collins had deep experience in the aerospace and defense industry. She served as senior program manager at Emolbi from 2021 to 2024, where she managed complex projects and contributed to organizational growth through strategic planning and execution. From 2019 to 2021, she was principal system engineer at LinQuest, where she played a key role in systems integration and engineering solutions for national security and defense-related projects.
Her earlier aerospace experience includes serving as space mission program scheduler at Millennium Space Systems, A Boeing Company in 2018 to 2019, where she was instrumental in project scheduling for aerospace initiatives. From 2013 to 2018, Ms. Collins worked as an analyst III at Tecolote Research, focusing on financial analysis and project management for national security space launch contracts.
Tamkin precedes her aerospace experience with business and sales experience which would ultimately help transition her career from technical to entrepreneurial. In 2013, she held two roles: account executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Southern California, where she managed client relationships and technical sales strategies; and project manager at Color Ad, overseeing advertising campaigns and creative projects. As business manager at Winnol from 2012 to 2013, Ms. Collins directed business operations for a digital media startup.
Her professional journey began as a corporate trainer at Smart Circle International from 2011 to 2012, where she developed training programs for direct sales teams, building on a direct sales position as a buyer at Gold Buyers of America from 2009 to 2011.
Ms. Collins' expertise has been recognized through features in Concealed Carry Magazine, Arms Lifestyle Magazine, Lady Outdoor Lifestyle, Woman Gun Owners Association Magazine, Guns.com and Telemundo News. She is co-chair of the Coachella Valley Chapter of California Rifle and Pistol Association (CRPA), a member of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), and affiliated with training and Second Amendment activist organizations Gun Owners of America, Empowered2A and Women Gun Owners of America (WGOAA).
Her academic background includes a Master of Business Administration in engineering/technology management from Excelsior University in 2016 and a bachelor's degree in applied sciences from Excelsior University in 2014. She also completed coursework in biotechnology at California State University, Northridge. Ms. Collins holds several certifications: range safety officer from USCCA Inc., project management professional from Project Management Institute (2017), Red Hat Training Sales Certification (RHTSS) from Red Hat (2013), and a certificate of completion in aerospace program management from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) (2018). These credentials have equipped her with the technical knowledge and leadership skills necessary for her multifaceted career.
Ms. Collins attributes her success to her rebellious nature and the determination instilled in her by her immigrant parents, who valued resilience despite cultural pressures. When self-doubt threatened her entrepreneurial leap, it was her husband and co-founder, Marcus Collins, who pushed her to pursue her vision from day one. An Emmy Award-winning concept artist, Marcus is the creative force behind Cakes Concealed Carry, having built the visual identity and brand language that transformed a functional product into a luxury experience. Together, they represent the dual foundation of the company: her operational and industry expertise, and his design vision.
Her entry into the firearms industry was driven by personal necessity following childhood trauma and assault. Experiencing firsthand the limitations placed on women in male-dominated firearm training environments inspired her to develop alternative concealed carry methods that allow women to maintain their personal style while prioritizing safety.
Beyond her professional achievements, Ms. Collins is actively involved with civic-minded organizations, including Project Gunway, CRPA and Empowered2A. Her contributions have been recognized with honors such as Emerging Brand of the Year at the Gundy Awards (2026).
Born in Mymensingh, Bangladesh, Ms. Collins brings a global perspective to an industry she is actively reshaping. She is dedicated to expanding Cakes Concealed Carry into a comprehensive lifestyle brand offering attractive, feminine products for safe firearm carry, with a vision to establish a fully domestic product line that creates jobs for Americans. She aims to deepen her partnerships with firearms instructors nationwide, expanding her training retreat model so that every woman has access to specialized, women-centered instruction regardless of where she lives.
Ms. Collins' enduring commitment to empowering women through practical self-defense solutions continues to shape her legacy within the industry and beyond.
