FORT WORTH, TX, April 10, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer L. Hunter, CHRO, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Jennifer Hunter has spent more than two decades in human resources with one consistent focus: building environments where people can do their best work. Since joining Polk Mechanical Company in 2025 as Chief Human Resources Officer, she has worked alongside the executive team, operations leaders, and employees at every level to understand what the organization needs and what its people need and to close the gap between the two.

At Polk Mechanical, her work centers on listening before acting. Within her first four weeks, she spent time in the field alongside service technician and trades workers to understand their daily realities firsthand. That groundwork informed decisions about team structure, pay equity, and how the HR function could show up more meaningfully for the people it serves.

Collaborating with the internal marketing team, she strengthens employer branding, enhances employee engagement and connects field teams across distributed job sites. Under her guidance, human resources has transformed into a proactive employee experience function that improves engagement, satisfaction and "moments that matter" throughout the organization. She leads a team of 17 across human resources, recruiting, learning and development, and marketing - roles she sees as interconnected in their shared purpose of supporting a 960-person organization.

Much of her current work involves building the infrastructure to support not just Polk Mechanical, but its parent company's broader portfolio. She is developing a centralized staffing model and recruiting charter intended to create consistency and opportunity across multiple companies - work she views as collaborative by design, shaped by the teams executing it alongside her.

Her career has taken her through a range of industries and company stages - from a cybersecurity startup where she joined as the 16th employee, to scaling organizations through rapid growth, to leading through the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic in the fitness industry. Across those experiences, the thread has been the same: figuring out how to bring the right people together, help them grow, and create conditions where they thrive.

Ms. Hunter's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2002 and an Associate degree in Exercise Science from Howard Community College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. She is also certified as an Insights Discovery Client Practitioner. She is currently completing two graduate certificate programs in AI: the AI Leadership: Strategy, Governance, and Agentic Systems program through Harvard Data Science Initiative, and the Postgraduate Program in AI Agents for Business Applications through Texas McCombs."

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Hunter attributes her success to extreme honesty, unwavering passion for helping others, problem-solving, and a servant mentality instilled by her father, who encouraged selflessness without expectation of return and appreciation for making a difference in others' lives. She is known among colleagues as someone who "gets stuff done," rallying teams toward shared goals while empowering them through trust, transparency, and vulnerability about limitations. A dedicated coach and mentor, Ms. Hunter invests deeply in the growth of those around her, guiding individuals to discover their own strengths, fostering confidence, and creating space for others to lead. Her steadfast support, even in the face of mistakes, reflects her belief that true empowerment comes not from having all the answers, but from lifting others to find their own.

In her personal life, Ms. Hunter enjoys spending time with her two sons, hiking, traveling, seeking adventure, skiing and exploring new culinary experiences. Drawing inspiration from her upbringing as the daughter of a sheet metal worker, she is passionate about advocating for education within construction fields, recognizing both challenges faced by trades workers and opportunities for innovation, financial security and leadership advancement within the industry. She is also civically engaged, serving on the board of the Construction Education Foundation since 2025 and volunteering regularly within her community.

Ms. Hunter's accomplishments have been recognized with several honors, including the CHRO Executive Management Award from Smart CEO in 2016, acknowledging excellence in executive leadership, and being named Maryland Foster Parent of the Year by Martin O'Malley, State of Maryland, in 2011.

Looking ahead, Ms. Hunter remains enthusiastic about making a positive impact on employee health and wellness, career growth, and collaborating to develop scalable AI strategies that benefit current affiliates and future acquisitions alike. She is dedicated to transforming perceptions of construction, emphasizing its stability, growth potential, and sustainability, and inspiring young people to join the industry by highlighting pathways toward meaningful, rewarding careers that contribute lasting value for generations to come.
