In addition to his role with the foundation, Mr. Bae has served as owner and manager of Margaritarius Investments LLC in Connecticut since 2023, overseeing investment strategies and contributing to the growth of the firm's portfolio. For the preceding five years, he served as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Connecticut. His work there included publishing several academic papers at prestigious venues, including those of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. These publications represent his most notable achievements, highlighting his significant contributions to quantum computing and information theory.

Prior to his role at the University of Connecticut, Mr. Bae worked as a Research Assistant at The City University of New York from 2017 to 2018. Before that, he spent three years as a software developer at OM Digital Inc. at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. At the latter organization, he developed software solutions for medical applications, demonstrating versatility across disciplines. Concurrently, from 2013 to 2014, he served as a software development consultant for GORI Group in New York City.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bae was a mobile application developer at tapTrak in New York City for one year and was a product designer and manager at Algotech Electronics in Suwon, South Korea, for three years. His professional journey began with military service as a field artillery officer in the Republic of Korea Army from 2004 to 2006 in Gyeonggi, South Korea. This experience instilled discipline and leadership skills that have informed his subsequent roles.

Academically, Mr. Bae completed doctoral coursework toward a Doctor of Philosophy in computer science at the University of Connecticut in 2023. He earned a Master of Science in mathematics from The City University of New York in 2018 after receiving a government grant from South Korea that enabled him to pursue advanced studies. In 2011, he obtained a master's degree in interactive telecommunications from New York University, which laid the groundwork for his early career as a software developer in the medical field. He also holds a bachelor's degree in visual communications and information engineering from Kangnam University, awarded in 2008. Furthering his expertise, he holds the algorithmic toolbox certification from the University of California, San Diego.

Throughout his career, Mr. Bae has attributed his success to consistent engagement and persistent effort. These qualities have enabled him to build strong foundations and conduct multiple campaigns aimed at raising awareness about safety issues not widely recognized by the public. His honors include the Department Winner of the 7th Annual SOE and SAGE Poster Competition (UConn School of Engineering), the Synchrony Financial Cybersecurity Graduate Fellowship 2020 (Connecticut Advanced Computing Center), the Cigna Graduate Fellowship 2018 (Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Connecticut), the Rich Mathematics Scholarship 2017 and the Dr. Barnett and Jean Hollander Rich Mathematics Scholarship (Department of Mathematics, The City College of New York, CUNY), and the CQF Wilmott Scholarship from Fitch Learning, among other competitive awards. He has also published several articles that advance discourse within quantum computing and financial engineering communities. Collectively, these recognitions reflect his strong academic performance and interdisciplinary expertise across quantitative finance, cybersecurity, engineering and mathematics.

Mr. Bae's civic involvement includes serving as a Bible study leader for Redeemer Churches & Ministries in New York City for three years and for Stanwich Church in Greenwich for two years. Additionally, he contributed as a teaching assistant at Greenwich Country Day School. Outside his professional pursuits, he enjoys drawing, sketching and creating art and design projects as hobbies. He also prioritizes spending time with his family, including his two children.
