Before his tenure at The Staging Department, Mr. Matos worked independently in 2014 as an audio-visual technician and project manager, providing tailored solutions for diverse clients. Between 2006 and 2014, he excelled as the show coordinator at Door No 3 Inc., where he managed event logistics and ensured smooth operations for a variety of productions. Mr. Matos's earlier experience included five years as a freelance audio-visual technician from 2001 to 2006, during which he developed a versatile skill set by working on numerous projects.

Among other influential roles, Mr. Matos managed audio-visual services at VAE Corp for hotel-based events, overseeing equipment setup and team coordination between 1999 and 2001. His international experience included teaching English language conversation at NOVA English Conversation School in Niigata, Japan, from 1997 to 1998 while also working as a disc jockey at local events. This period abroad broadened Mr. Matos's cultural perspective and enhanced his communication abilities.

Mr. Matos began his professional journey as a disc jockey with Big Wave International for several years after graduating from college, during which he hosted video dance parties at both schools and private events nationwide. Mr. Matos's academic background included acquiring a Bachelor of Arts in broadcasting and telecommunications from Salem Teikyo University in Salem, West Virginia, earned in 1993.
