Ms. Martinez ensures that expenses are accurately attributed to officer-led business units for internal management purposes and that her team serves as the official system of record for corporate expense and headcount reporting.

Notably, Ms. Martinez's expertise in team management and reporting systems is evident in her ability to support leadership decision-making by delivering complete, accurate and structured financial and headcount data. She is also responsible for ensuring day-to-day system balances, closing and reconciling monthly and quarterly management financials, serving as a liaison between business unit contacts and the management reporting system, and supporting frequent organizational changes driven by leadership decisions. Ms. Martinez also facilitates communication across business units regarding reporting requirements, answers ongoing questions related to financial and headcount reporting, coordinates team members across multiple functional responsibilities, and maintains the smooth operation of all reporting processes through organization and communication.

A defining achievement in Ms. Martinez's career was the development of a comprehensive reporting system to track contractor and consulting expenses at AT&T. Recognizing a significant gap in how these costs were monitored, she designed a detailed framework that allowed each business unit to access clear monthly spending reports on contractors and consultants. This initiative streamlined the reporting process, provided leadership with consolidated expenditure views, enabled more informed decision-making, and led to Ms. Martinez's involvement in several special reporting projects.

Before her current role, Ms. Martinez spent over 20 years within AT&T's financial systems group, advancing from financial analyst to lead financial systems analyst before assuming her present position. Her tenure at AT&T began after colleagues encouraged her to apply when the company relocated its headquarters from St. Louis to San Antonio.

Ms. Martinez gained valuable consulting experience at USAA, a nationwide bank and insurance company headquartered in San Antonio, before being acquired by AT&T. She also worked as a management analyst in the economic development department for the City of San Antonio for over a year.

Ms. Martinez's academic background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1996 and a Master of Business Administration and Management in 1998 from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Her educational experiences provided foundational knowledge that has supported her professional achievements. During her college years, Ms. Martinez was selected for the inaugural leadership development team, where she mentored elementary school children, an early demonstration of her dedication to leadership and service.
