MARGATE, FL, April 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maria A. Larrotta has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Larrotta currently serves as a Parenting Coach, Consultant and Private Educator as the owner of Empowered Minds Consulting LLC, a role she has held since 2024. In this capacity, she draws upon more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education to provide private teaching, one-on-one instruction, home-based education and parent coaching. Her expertise extends to working with special needs children and offering behavioral and developmental consulting for both children and parents. Ms. Larrotta's practice is distinguished by her unique integration of teaching, directing and therapeutic approaches, which allows her to tailor strategies that best serve each client's needs. She is particularly proud of her ability to reach families directly, offering services that are often difficult to obtain through traditional insurance-covered channels or through traditional education institutions. Through collaboration with occupational therapists and other professionals, she has helped families achieve significant progress for their children, often celebrating small but monumental victories that lead to greater functionality and improved quality of life.

Since 2022, Ms. Larrotta has also worked as a private educator for individual families, providing personalized instruction and developmental support in home settings. She designs and implements curriculum and assesses children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development, among other objectives. Ms. Larrotta's approach emphasizes detailed developmental assessments and actionable recommendations for parents, empowering them to make informed decisions that shape their children's futures.

Earlier in 2022, Ms. Larrotta was acquired as a preschool director at Edu1st.Preschools. Although her tenure was brief, she gained valuable insights into the private sector of early childhood education. Ultimately, Ms. Larrotta determined that her values were better aligned with more direct work with families and children.

From 2021 to 2022, Ms. Larrotta served as a cognitive education clinician at TheraPeeds, a therapy center near her hometown. There, she developed a keen interest in brain development, receiving hands-on training focused on brain function and rewiring pathways to promote functional and adaptive behaviors in children.

Ms. Larrotta began her career with the United Way of Miami-Dade, beginning as a lead teacher for infants between 2015 and 2018 and then as a preschool director until 2021. The nonprofit preschool served children aged zero to three years living in a women's shelter. In these critical roles, Ms. Larrotta focused on curriculum development, classroom management and relationship-building with both children and parents. She also focused on building a staff from the local community and providing them with ongoing professional development opportunities. Ms. Larrotta's leadership emphasized trauma-informed practices and community engagement, ensuring that both staff and students received the support necessary for growth.

Ms. Larrotta's academic background includes an associate's degree from Broward College. Subsequently, she received a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and development with a minor in entrepreneurship in 2015 and a master's degree in early childhood education in 2017 from Florida International University in Miami. A graduate of Cooper City High School in Cooper City, Florida, Ms. Larrotta's early exposure to an on-site preschool program during high school led her to earn the nationally recognized child development associate credential (CDA). This foundational certification enabled her entry into the field. Additionally, Ms. Larrotta's dedication to ongoing personal and professional growth has included certification as a parent coach through the JAI Institute for Parenting, enabling her to expand her services into parent coaching both virtually and locally through platforms such as MissPoppins, a parenting resource application, and direct listings on the JAI Institute website.

Throughout her career, Ms. Larrotta has demonstrated expertise in private teaching, one-on-one instruction, home teaching, parent coaching and therapeutic approaches within educational settings. She is recognized for her director-level leadership as well as her innovative parenting strategies. As a leader in her field, Ms. Larrotta's commitment to professional growth has been reflected in her active memberships with the Florida Association of Infant Mental Health and the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Beyond her professional roles, she is civically engaged as a volunteer who meets with parents free of charge to discuss their children's development and provide guidance without expectation of compensation.

Ms. Larrotta's journey reflects unwavering dedication to early childhood education, innovative approaches to family support, and a passion for empowering both children and parents toward lasting success. Looking ahead, she envisions writing a book on parenting tips based on her extensive experience working with families. Ms. Larrotta also aims to expand Empowered Minds Consulting both virtually, to reach more families worldwide, and locally by creating an intentional space in South Florida, where parents can find support through classes and Parent Support groups and workshops.
