EVANSVILLE, IN, April 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Interviewer: Peyton, Evansville native, now coming back after a really successful real estate run out in South Dakota—why come back now?
Peyton O'Brien: (leans back) Honestly, I came through town a bit ago and it just felt… off. Not terrible, just quieter than I remember. This place gave me my start, so it's hard to see it lose some of that energy.
Interviewer: What stood out to you the most?
Peyton O'Brien: I saw a lot of younger people not really sure what's here for them… and a lot of older folks who've built their lives here kinda getting overlooked. That didn't sit right with me.
Interviewer: So what are you hoping to do?
Peyton O'Brien: Nothing flashy. Just help where I can. I've learned a lot out in South Dakota—how to build things up, how to create jobs—and I'd like to bring some of that back. Give younger people a reason to stick around, and make things a little easier for folks who've been here their whole lives.
Interviewer: That sounds more community-focused than business-focused.
Peyton O'Brien: I mean, they go together. If you help people, the town gets better. Simple as that. It's not about coming in and "fixing" everything—it's about showing up and doing your part.
Interviewer: What does success look like for you here?
Peyton O'Brien: Seeing people feel good about being here again. Kids thinking they can build something without leaving, and older folks feeling like the town's still got their back. That's enough for me.
Interviewer: You seem pretty grounded about it.
Peyton O'Brien: (shrugs) It's home. Figured it's worth showing up for.
Interviewer: Any last comments?
Peyton O'Brien: Yeah, be kind to one another, and remember every day is a gift, that's why we call it the present.
