NEW YORK, NY, April 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joy M. Dushey has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Dushey has established a distinguished career as the chief executive officer and founder of The Joyful Approach, a role she has held since 2003. Over the course of more than two decades, she has become recognized for her expertise in empowerment, nervous system regulation, corporate wellness, mental fitness and executive leadership. Her work centers on supporting high-achieving women through empowerment coaching, developing and facilitating leadership workshops and off-site retreats, managing podcast relaunches and course development, and coordinating collaborations with other professionals.

Through The Joyful Approach, Ms. Dushey designs and leads immersive wellness programs, oversees a dedicated team of assistants and virtual support staff, and trains women in breathwork and related holistic modalities. Additionally, she engages her membership community with daily meditations and monthly group sessions, partners with local schools to integrate holistic practices into education and maintains multiple active client coaching programs.

Throughout her career, Ms. Dushey has fostered authentic leadership among women. In response to increased outreach during the 2020 pandemic, she launched the Matrix mentorship program, offering weekly sessions for a year to train and empower women at no cost. The program cultivated community, sisterhood and leadership growth while enriching Ms. Dushey's experience as a mentor.

In addition to her work with clients and community programs, Ms. Dushey's professional journey includes leading workshops for companies such as Aloe and Netflix, as well as being featured in Forbes. She considers her most significant impact to be in her local community, notably by leading a wellness day retreat at the Moise Safra Synagogue Center in New York, which empowered 50 women. Ms. Dushey is also an active member of The Met in New York and the Central Park Conservancy.

Ms. Dushey's academic background includes holistic health and breathwork certifications, which she pursued after a transformative personal experience. At age 29, she suffered an ischemic stroke that became a near-death event and catalyst for her personal awakening. This health crisis led her to explore holistic practices for self-healing. Working with Paul Chek, a pioneer in holistic health, she discovered the importance of addressing emotional suppression and disharmony. Through dedicated training in holistic and esoteric modalities, she identified nervous system regulation and authentic leadership for women as critical components often missing from traditional wellness approaches.

Reflecting on her career, Ms. Dushey attributes her success to her spiritual connection to God and her unwavering belief that every challenge contains a spark of hope and possibility. She allows this faith to guide her toward accomplishments that benefit others.

Ms. Dushey's civic involvement is extensive. She serves as a board member for Shoes for Africa and volunteers at the Moise Safra Synagogue Center. Additionally, she supports cancer research initiatives and participates in widow support programs.

Among Ms. Dushey's proudest achievements is her ability to trust her inner truth despite societal expectations, a quality she calls revolutionary as a mother of two daughters. By speaking openly about anxiety and emotional suppression, she has become a voice for those facing similar struggles. A defining moment came when she ended her 28-year marriage through what she describes as heart-centered uncoupling, prioritizing love within the family over traditional divorce. Five years later, she reflects on the positive impact this decision has had on herself and her family.

Outside her professional pursuits, Ms. Dushey enjoys attending the opera and ballet, traveling and exploring nature. She also enjoys playing tennis, connecting with like-minded individuals, participating in retreats and masterminds, and lifelong learning.

Looking ahead, Ms. Dushey intends to expand the reach of her methodologies for nervous system regulation, mental fitness and joyful living, making them accessible to high-performing teams seeking resilience under pressure. She aims to draw from all modalities through which she has impacted lives — empowering individuals to regulate stress, think clearly under pressure and lead with greater resilience — while building meaningful communities alongside other leaders committed to positive change.
