Since joining the business in 2017 Snow Peaks revenues grew from 9.9 BN JPY to its peak in 2022 of 30.7BN JPY while operating profits and margin grew each year from a negative result in 2017 to its peak of 3.6 BN JPY in 2022. Post pandemic he has played a pivotal role in rebuilding the business, effectively communicating the brand's narrative and relevance while directing investments to support overall growth. Under his leadership, Snow Peak's western businesses have returned revenues to its pre-pandemic levels while achieving global profitability for its western subsidiaries.

In addition to his current responsibilities as senior managing director at a global entity, Mr. Reis also serves as the vice president and chief operating officer at Snow Peak USA, as well as the chief executive officer of Snow Peak/s European business a remit he has held since 2022 to further global growth for the brand.

Prior to these roles, Mr. Reis was the director at Snow Peak in Niigata, Japan, from 2020 to 2021. In this position, he contributed to corporate strategy and operational oversight during a period of global uncertainty. Between 2019 and 2020, he held the title of director and chief supply chain officer at Snow Peak in Japan, where he worked to transform the supply chain from one that expected shortages to an enabler of growth as evidenced by the rapid revenue growth during this period.

From 2017 to 2018, Mr. Reis served as the director, corporate officer and head of the corporate planning office at Snow Peak. His leadership during this time served as a foundational baseline, enabling rapid growth in profitability from a negative result in 2017 to a peak of 3.6BN JPY (11.7%) in 2022.

Before joining Snow Peak, Mr. Reis gained valuable experience as a manager at KPMG Consulting from 2012 to 2017, working predominantly in the financial sector across multiple disciplines, including strategic projects, operational transformation, and IT implementation during large-scale post-merger integration. From 2006 to 2010, he was an account executive at a travel management company in New York City, gaining foundational experience in client relations and service delivery.

Mr. Reis' academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School in Manchester, United Kingdom, earned in 2012. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology with a minor in chemistry from Clark University, completed in 2006.

Born in Ithaca, New York, but raised in Kyoto, Japan, Mr. Reis is half Japanese and half American, a heritage that has profoundly influenced his worldview. He has observed firsthand the contrast between the individualistic nature of American society and Japan's collectivist traditions, particularly regarding their respective relationships with the nature and the outdoors.

Outside of work, Mr. Reis enjoys camping with his family and remains dedicated to sharing the restorative power of outdoor experiences with others.
