CINCINNATI, OH, April 15, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As Americans across the country file their taxes and feel the full weight of Washington's spending addiction, Congressional candidate Holly Adams (R-OH-01) is drawing a sharp contrast in Ohio's First District.

Adams is the only candidate in the race who has signed the No New Taxes pledge, committing to protect hardworking families from further financial burden. But she says that's just the beginning.

On this Tax Day, Adams is doubling down on a bold, unapologetic plan: abolish the IRS and eliminate the federal income tax altogether.

"Tax Day is a reminder of just how much Washington takes from you — and how little you get in return," said Adams. "For decades, politicians in both parties have promised relief, but all we've gotten are higher taxes, more audits, and a weaponized IRS that targets hardworking Americans."

Adams says the current tax system is fundamentally broken — overly complex, unfair, and designed to benefit bureaucrats and insiders rather than the people who actually earn the money.

"The IRS has become a symbol of everything that's wrong with Washington," Adams said. "It's intrusive, inefficient, and far too powerful. We don't need to tweak it — we need to eliminate it."

Adams' plan calls for:
• Abolishing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
• Eliminating the federal income tax
• Replacing the current system with a simpler, fairer model that lets Americans keep more of what they earn
• Permanently blocking any new federal taxes through her No New Taxes pledge

Adams contrasted her position with her opponents, noting that no other candidate in the race has made the same firm commitment to oppose new taxes, leaving the door open to future increases.

"Families in Southwest Ohio are already stretched thin by inflation, high energy costs, and rising interest rates," Adams said. "The last thing they need is politicians in Washington looking for new ways to take more of their paycheck."
