LYNCHBURG, VA, April 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark Fizer, Esq., has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Fizer, the associate director of academic success at the School of Law at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, has held his position since 2025. In this capacity, he manages comprehensive academic support for law students, identifies and assists those at risk of probation or dismissal, provides individualized academic coaching and administers bar exam preparation programs. Mr. Fizer has played a pivotal role in restructuring the curriculum to align with NextGen Bar exam standards and is deeply involved in mentoring first-year law students.

Before his current role, Mr. Fizer served as a general counsel for West Virginia Property Management from 2022 to 2024. In this capacity, he provided legal oversight and guidance on property management matters, ensuring compliance with state regulations and representing the organization's interests in various legal matters.

In 2021, Mr. Fizer gained valuable experience as a legal intern with the West Virginia Attorney General in Charleston, West Virginia, where he contributed to research and case preparation on behalf of the state government. The previous year, he served as a legal intern at The Family Foundation in Richmond, Virginia, where he supported advocacy and policy analysis on family law and public policy.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Fizer spent nearly 15 years in education, serving as a mathematics teacher at Victory Baptist Academy from 2005 to 2019. His tenure as an educator laid the foundation for his expertise in academic coaching and mentorship, skills that continue to inform his work in legal education today.

Mr. Fizer's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Crown College in Knoxville, Tennessee, awarded in 2004, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Liberty University in 2022. He was admitted to practice by the West Virginia Bar Association.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Fizer is deeply committed to community service and mentorship. He coached high school and middle school volleyball for over a decade, using athletics as a platform to teach life lessons and help students navigate adversity.

Mr. Fizer's dedication to student achievement was recognized in February 2026 when he received the Liberty Legacy Award, a student-nominated honor that acknowledges his exceptional commitment to supporting students and strengthening the legacy of Liberty University's school of law. This recognition also affirms his philosophy of service-oriented mentorship and underscores his impact on the next generation of legal professionals.

A recognized expert in legal education, Mr. Fizer entered the legal profession following a deliberate career shift in his mid-30s, motivated by a desire to play an active role in shaping public policy rather than observing government processes from afar. After graduating from Liberty University's law school, he briefly returned to secondary education before the dean invited him to serve as an adjunct instructor. This opportunity rekindled Mr. Fizer's passion for teaching and ultimately led him back into higher education administration.

The influences shaping Mr. Fizer's career are rooted in the values instilled by his parents, who emphasized a strong work ethic from an early age. He also credits several teachers and mentors, including experienced legal professionals, from his law school years as instrumental to his professional development.

Looking ahead, Mr. Fizer intends to pursue further studies in economics driven by his intellectual curiosity about how economists analyze complex issues. He also plans to focus on legal writing and scholarly articles that explore topics at the intersection of law and economics, as well as First Amendment freedoms, particularly religious liberty, to contribute original research to leading legal journals. Throughout his career, Mr. Fizer has demonstrated unwavering dedication to mentorship, academic excellence and service, qualities that have defined his contributions to both education and law.
