KATY, TX, April 17, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennie Reis has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Reis has established a distinguished career as an expert in hiring, retaining and developing talent. She has been recognized for her ability to support individuals and organizations through executive coaching, talent strategies and scalable leadership systems. As founder and executive coach of Jennie Reis Coaching and Consulting LLC since 2019, she has worked alongside leaders and organizations to foster talent with clarity, capability and confidence. Her business is based in Houston, where she continues to guide clients seeking to enhance their leadership effectiveness.
In addition to her work as founder, Ms. Reis has served as a vendor coach with multiple organizations. The Human Reach since 2024, CoCreate work in 2026 and The Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University, a role she has held since 2020. Through these positions, she has contributed to the growth of emerging leaders and supported organizational development initiatives.
Ms. Reis's tenure at Amazon from 2013 to 2024 was marked by progressive leadership roles and significant achievements. Most notably, as an executive recruiter and onboarding specialist for Amazon Web Services from 2022 to 2024, she addressed a critical challenge facing the organization: the departure of leaders due to the absence of an internal mobility program for executives. Collaborating closely with the talent management team and human resources business partners, she designed a comprehensive system and training for recruiters and hiring managers. This initiative established a process for transferring talent internally at the vice president and director levels, reducing turnover among senior leaders. Her efforts resulted in a 72 percent reduction in the time required to hire for director and vice president positions by expanding the internal mobility program—a milestone she considers her most significant professional achievement.
From 2020 to 2022, Ms. Reis was the senior manager of global operations onboarding at Amazon after serving as a senior program manager for Amazon Web Services training and certification for the preceding two years. She also served as a senior program manager of global talent management, a recruiting manager and a senior recruiter for various arms of Amazon's business. In these capacities, she managed recruitment processes and contributed to building high-performing teams within Amazon's dynamic retail environment.
Before joining Amazon, Ms. Reis built her expertise at Target Corporation in Minneapolis. She began as an associate campus recruiter from 2003 to 2005 before advancing to an MBA recruiter from 2005 to 2007. She then served as a human resource business partner, human resource manager, senior recruiter for campus recruiting and organizational effectiveness training consultant. Throughout her tenure at Target, she developed foundational skills in recruitment, training and organizational effectiveness that would inform her later successes.
Ms. Reis' academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Arts in early child development from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, in 1997. She has bolstered her credentials with several certifications that underscore her expertise: EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence Assessment & 360 from Multi-Health Systems Inc. and received her coaching certification through Co-Active Training Institute. She is also an active member of the International Coaching Federation.
Overall, Ms. Reis attributes much of her success to the opportunities afforded her by supportive leaders throughout her career—leaders who entrusted her with challenging assignments and encouraged autonomy in problem-solving. Their belief in her abilities empowered Ms. Reis to tackle complex issues, such as designing internal mobility programs that have had a lasting impact on organizational performance. Her contributions have been recognized through various internal awards during her corporate career.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Reis is dedicated to civic engagement through pro bono coaching for Dress for Success, where she serves as a designated speaker and volunteers at various conferences—primarily in Houston—offering free coaching sessions at least twice annually.
Outside her professional work, Ms. Reis enjoys cooking, reading and practicing pilates and yoga, along with spending time with her family. Looking ahead, she aims to continue expanding Jennie Reis Coaching and Consulting LLC by offering solutions across the employee lifecycle - strategic hiring, onboarding, development and retention - while leveraging experience gained at Amazon and Target to benefit organizations seeking transformative leadership development. She believes in the importance of intentionally investing time and effort to achieve meaningful change and recognizes that improvement rarely occurs without deliberate action. When patterns begin to repeat, she is proactive in supporting and driving the necessary transformation.
