Mr. Brooks is particularly proud of assembling and guiding a large, cohesive team that successfully consolidated 18 electronic health record systems into a single platform for approximately 3,700 physicians nationwide, a significant achievement that stands as a testament to his ability to unite talent and drive complex projects to completion. His expertise in clinical solutions delivery and operational disruption management was instrumental in supporting Tenet Healthcare's transition toward more integrated and effective care delivery models.

From 2011 to 2012, Mr. Brooks worked as an Account Manager for Healthcare Operations at GBS, managing client relationships and facilitating consulting and the implementation of technology solutions tailored to health care providers' needs. His earlier tenure at KIG Healthcare from 2006 to 2011 saw him leading teams through the deployment of enterprise practice management systems prior to the company's acquisition by GBS.

Mr. Brooks began his long association with GBS in 1996 as an Operations Manager, a role he held until 2006. During this period, he honed his skills in operational oversight and process improvement within the healthcare sector. His career in healthcare commenced in 1995 as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at University Pharmacy and Equipment, where his initial aspiration was to become a pharmacist. However, exposure to healthcare technology through professional connections redirected his passion toward solving problems in the clinical space, a pursuit that has defined his career ever since.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Brooks has developed recognized expertise in clinical solutions delivery, technology-driven operational improvements, efficiency optimization and value-based care implementation. He is also an active member of industry organizations, including Athena's Patient Experience Advisory Board.

Mr. Brooks' educational achievements reflect his commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth. Driven by his "Never stop learning, never stop trying, never stop reinventing yourself" mindset, at age 47, he returned to formal education and earned a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City in 2024. He further enhanced his credentials with several certifications from Canvas Credentials (Badgr), including leadership (2023), strategic thinking and innovation (2023) and health care management (2023). Additionally, he holds certifications in various technology solution providers.

His academic accomplishments have been recognized with honors, including the Capstone Excellence Award from Western Governors University in 2024. Mr. Brooks credits his faith and the strong work ethic instilled by his father, an entrepreneur, for shaping his perseverance and continual pursuit of excellence. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Mr. Brooks is civically engaged as a supporter and volunteer for organized rides benefiting the Michael J. In his personal life, Mr. Brooks enjoys learning, reading, continuous self-development both professionally and personally, and cycling. Mr. Brooks is devoted to his family which includes his wife of 30 years, three sons: an eldest and spouse who serve as Sr. Pastors, a second son who is currently attending seminary, and a youngest who is an accomplished drummer. The apple of his eye is his grandson who is also his namesake.
