From 2019 to 2025, Mr. Kamal served as general manager of the customer success unit within Microsoft's United States enterprise manufacturing vertical. Between 2012 and 2019, Mr. Kamal served as director of technical services delivery at Microsoft. He was responsible for consulting delivery across a broad spectrum of customers, without industry limitations, and for managing teams that provided high-level technical support and strategic guidance.

From 2006 to 2012, Mr. Kamal worked as a principal premier field engineer at Microsoft. In this global role, he built cybersecurity solutions for clients in 39 countries and all 50 states, executing implementations and providing training on security testing and penetration testing. He conducted comprehensive assessments to strengthen clients' security postures and trained colleagues worldwide to enhance their cybersecurity expertise.

Earlier in his career, from 2004 to 2006, Mr. Kamal was a team manager at CheckFree Corporation—now Fiserv—where he managed payer solutions for major business clients such as Macy's and American Express. His work focused on backend payment processing systems, ensuring robust solutions for high-profile customers.

Mr. Kamal's expertise in leadership, cloud technologies and artificial intelligence is widely acknowledged throughout the industry. His innovative approach was evident early in his tenure at Microsoft when he developed a security assessment tool that was sold to customers from 2007 to 2010.

His academic background includes a master's degree in industrial technology engineering from the University of Idaho College of Engineering in Moscow, Idaho, earned in 2002. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Yarmouk University-Hijjawi College for Engineering in Irbid, Jordan, completed in 2000. Born in Amman, Mr. Kamal values community outreach, endurance sports and gardening among his personal interests. He enjoys spending time with his family—including his spouse, Zain, and two daughters—and participated actively in triathlons from 2002 to 2016.
