Since 2021, he has served as chief executive officer of Trailer Safe USA, overseeing the company's growth and strategic direction. Under his guidance, the organization has focused on manufacturing safety solutions related to the transportation of heavy equipment. Mr. Couper invented and patented a specialized track cover designed to contain debris and keep it from falling onto the roadway during transport to and from job sites. He has dedicated significant effort to developing this product over the past five years, including prototyping it across various applications and actively lobbying Washington State for legislative support.

In addition to his executive role at Trailer Safe USA, Mr. Couper is also the owner of Aspen Canyon Homes, a business founded in 2014. Through this venture, he has helped countless clients realize their dreams of homeownership, often transforming undeveloped land into custom homes. Mr. Couper considers these collaborative projects – where he guides families from concept to completion – as among his most meaningful achievements. From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Couper owned Cascade Signature Homes, LLC where he continued to apply his expertise in residential construction and project management. His earlier experience includes serving as a certified inspector with Mountain View Home Inspections from 2013 to 2014, where he conducted comprehensive home inspections, further honing his skills in quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Between 2010 and 2013, Mr. Couper operated Aspen Creek Construction, managing all aspects of construction projects from planning through execution. His foundational experience was shaped by his tenure as a journey carpenter with Carpenters Union Local 470 from 2008 to 2010.

Mr. Couper started his journey as a business owner in 1996 when he started Couper Construction with his father and worked as a framing sub-contractor. Mark credits his father, Robert Couper, his original business partner and mentor, as playing a key role in his development and growth as a business owner and entrepreneur.

Over the years he expanded his knowledge to include all aspects of home building, He purchased heavy equipment and started doing his own dirt work. In fact, he did much of his own sub-contracting work including clearing and excavation, installation of utilities and septic systems, foundations, framing, siding, exterior and interior painting, installation of cabinets, finish carpentry, and even landscaping. He in turn has acted as a mentor to his eldest son, and current business partner, Cameron Couper.

Mr. Couper's educational background includes coursework at Washington State University and an ongoing pursuit of an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies at AMES Christian University. These academic experiences have contributed to his broad perspective and informed his ethical approach to business leadership.

Mr. Couper attributes his success to unwavering consistency and daily goal setting, a philosophy that has guided him throughout his career. He values working alongside family members including his sons, wife, father, sister and nephew, within their family business considering these relationships to be integral to both personal fulfillment and professional achievement.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Couper has always been involved in his local church. He joined them in volunteering at World Vision as well as the local food bank. He has also participated in missionary work in India, reflecting a dedication to service and community involvement. He also spent more than a decade coaching his sons' basketball teams at the Puyallup Rec Center. He thoroughly enjoyed mentoring the young men who played on his teams, helping them to develop their skills as players and well as sportsmanship and love of the game. Mr. Couper is also an avid hunter and has volunteered his time as a Washington Hunter Education and Safety Instructor.

Born in Atlanta, Mr Couper is devoted to his family, including his three sons. He enjoys spending time with his wife and sons as well as his 2 daughter-in-laws and twin grandsons. They often vacation together and cherish the opportunities for shared experiences outside of work.

Looking ahead, Mr. Couper remains focused on expanding Trailer Safe USA's operations following the acquisition of a warehouse in Emmett, Idaho, 40 minutes outside of Boise. With several families relocating from Washington State to Idaho to support the company's objectives, he anticipates significant growth for the business, including expansion into new regions and the addition of new distribution facilities.
