RUMSON, NJ, April 27, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William B. O'Brien has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

As the founder and chief executive officer of Commercium Technology Inc. (CTI Global), which he established in 1998, Mr. O'Brien has distinguished himself as a leader in the information technology security sector. Over the course of nearly three decades, he has guided the company's growth and reputation as a trusted provider of information technology security consulting services, best compliance practices and identity access management for Fortune 1000 companies.

In his leadership role, Mr. O'Brien is responsible for overseeing sales operations — particularly for new product launches — and managing development functions as well as the professional services division. He works closely with the vice president of professional services to ensure that CTI Global's consultants deliver exceptional value to every client. Additionally, he leads a dedicated team of sales professionals who focus on promoting the company's suite of security-related products and services.

Prior to establishing CTI Global, Mr. O'Brien built a strong foundation in the technology industry through his work with several Silicon Valley startup ventures. These experiences provided him with valuable insights into emerging technologies, business development and entrepreneurial business models, further shaping his expertise in identity governance and identity access management — fields in which he is now recognized as an expert.

Mr. O'Brien began his career at Honeywell in the late 1970s, spending more than a decade in sales within the information systems division. During this period, Honeywell was part of "the Bunch," a group of companies that competed against IBM's early dominance in the computer business. His tenure allowed him to develop a deep understanding of enterprise technology solutions and fostered his longstanding commitment to innovation and client service.

Alongside his primary roles, Mr. O'Brien has been actively involved in industry organizations and community initiatives as a board member of Caldwell University for nine years, contributing his expertise to higher education governance. He is also affiliated with The Union League Club and the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club, reflecting his engagement with both professional and social communities.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Mr. O'Brien earned a Master of Business Administration in finance from Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University in 1983 and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Colgate University in 1976. His educational achievements have played a pivotal role in his professional journey, equipping him with the analytical skills and strategic insight essential for navigating the evolving landscape of technology and business management.

Reflecting on his storied journey thus far, Mr. O'Brien attributes his ongoing success to a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability — qualities he considers vital in the ever-changing technological environment. He regards himself as a lifelong student of technology and credits his experienced team at CTI Global for their outstanding client work. Additionally, he acknowledges the influence of mentors such as Frank Crudelli, Howard Gendel and Mark Jung, whose guidance helped shape his leadership philosophy.

Happily married for more than 40 years and a proud father of two daughters, Mr. O'Brien takes great pride in his family life. He considers raising his daughters, both of whom have established successful careers, among his most significant achievements. Known for cultivating an extensive network of friends and business associates, he is also recognized for his generosity — most notably demonstrated by donating one of his kidneys to a close friend.

In addition to his career and family commitments, Mr. O'Brien enjoys hobbies such as running long-distance marathons, reading and playing chess. Looking toward the future, he aims to support his daughters as they advance in their careers and begin families of their own. With one daughter soon to be married, he hopes to enjoy the rewards of a lifetime of hard work and envisions a retirement filled with meaningful moments after all he has accomplished in the technology industry and beyond.
