Since 2023, she has served as head of schools at Coastal Christian Academy in San Diego, where she oversees curriculum development and review, adjusts instructional strategies based on state testing data and manages academic planning for high school students preparing for college. Her responsibilities also include interviewing and hiring staff, supervising the preschool, evaluating teachers, managing budgets and collaborating with the board to recommend salary adjustments and prepare budgets for approval. Dr. Jacobs supervises 19 staff members and actively engages with parents and the community to enhance the school's recognition. She visits other institutions to recommend Association of Christian Schools International and Western Association of Schools and Colleges accreditation, reflecting her expertise in curriculum development, budgeting and finances. Under her leadership, Coastal Christian Academy achieved accreditation from both the Association of Christian Schools International and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Additionally, Dr. Jacobs is the lead adjunct professor at Southeastern University, a role she has held since 2017. She oversees the undergraduate science course for non-science majors and teaches a nutrition science class. Her experience in higher education complements her administrative work, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on student needs across educational levels.

From 2019 to 2022, Dr. Jacobs served at Harvest Community School in Jacksonville as the testing coordinator and dual enrollment coordinator. In these roles, she managed standardized assessments and facilitated opportunities for high school students to earn college credits while still enrolled in secondary education.

Her teaching career began at Westwood Baptist Academy in Missouri, where she taught for three years. Throughout her journey, Dr. Jacobs has taught every grade from pre-kindergarten through college, instructing students in music, English and science. She also served as department chair of math and science at another institution, further demonstrating her versatility as an educator.

Dr. Jacobs's professional achievements are underscored by her induction into Phi Beta Kappa and active membership on the accreditation committees for both the Association of Christian Schools International and Western Association of Schools and Colleges. She is also affiliated with the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

Her academic background is extensive and foundational to her success. Dr. Jacobs earned a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from Liberty University with honors in 2025, a milestone she considers her most significant achievement, given the personal challenges she overcame during her dissertation process. She also holds an education specialist degree from Liberty University with honors (2020), a master's degree in science education with an emphasis in biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with honors (2018), and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in STEM from Concordia University Portland with honors (2016). Her undergraduate studies culminated in a bachelor's degree in education studies from Ashford University summa cum laude (2014).

Dr. Jacobs has further enhanced her credentials through certifications as a social and behavioral researcher from the CITI Program (2023 to 2026) and a graduate certificate in educational technology and online instruction from Liberty University (2018). She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in theological studies from Liberty University.

She attributes her success to building strong relationships within her school communities, maintaining open communication with parents and drawing upon her experiences as both an educator and parent. Inspired by her mother's career as a teacher, Dr. Jacobs initially pursued nursing but discovered her passion for education after substituting at schools when her oldest child began kindergarten.

Beyond her professional commitments, Dr. Jacobs is civically engaged as a non-voting member of the school board at Coastal Christian Academy and as a volunteer for Special Olympics and The Lucas Foundation. Her scholarly contributions include authoring the dissertation "Recommendations for Solving Low Biology Scores on EOC Assessment in Jacksonville, Florida."

Born in San Diego, Dr. Jacobs is devoted to her three daughters and enjoys spending time with family, traveling, hiking, nature walking, playing games and reading.
