Her youngest son, dr. nico scordakis works at Scordakis Family Dental with his parents. His wife Sofía Fernandez-Scordakis, will be starting her third and final year of law school (this fall) and they both live in Sacramento, California.

Earlier in her professional journey, Dr. Dina practiced as a registered nurse. Applying her foundational knowledge of patient care and medical protocols, she assured comprehensive care including all aspects of medicine and dentistry combined. Her experience as a nurse provided valuable insights into holistic patient management and reinforced her commitment to compassionate service.

Throughout her career, Dr. Dina has been recognized for both professional achievement and service. She was honored as homecoming queen during her academic years and was inducted into the International College of Dentists, an organization that acknowledges outstanding contributions to the field. She is an active member of the Sacramento District Dental Society, California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and The International College of Dentists, maintaining engagement with industry peers and ongoing professional development.

Dr. Dina's educational background laid a strong foundation for her multifaceted career. She earned an R.N. three-year diploma, with honors and a Compassion Award, from St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She was awarded a student excellence award for tutoring nursing students in Chemistry. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology cum laude from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, which equipped her with rigorous scientific training and clinical skills. She later completed her studies in dentistry at Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, earning a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She was elected as Student Body President after serving four years on Student Council. She earned her registered nurse diploma within three years. She is happily married to Dr. Peter Scordakis, D.M.D., and has worked as a team throughout dental school with her husband as leaders of the Health Fair and Editors of the Yearbook.

The influences shaping Dr. Dina's path are deeply rooted in family support and personal determination. She credits much of her success to the steadfast encouragement of her parents—particularly her mother—who inspired her to pursue ambitious goals at a time when societal expectations for women were more limited. The example set by her uncle, who overcame early doubts to earn both a PHD in Anatomy and Physiology and a medical degree, instilled in her the conviction that no challenge is insurmountable with perseverance and resilience. The partnership between her uncle and his wife also served as a model for teamwork and mutual support within marriage, a principle Dr. Dina has embraced throughout her life.

Beyond professional commitments, Dr. Dina is actively involved in civic initiatives and community service. She volunteers at local health fairs, contributes time to programs organized by the Sacramento District Dental Society and serves as an active leader in her church.
