A notable achievement during Ms. Polce's career has been authoring two distinct sets of motion papers for the agency. From 2022 to 2024, Ms. Polce served as an agency attorney (level II) at the NYC Administration for Children's Services, where she continued to build her expertise in representing the agency in sensitive legal matters. She previously served as an agency attorney (level I) between 2021 and 2022, honing her litigation skills and deepening her understanding of family law.
Ms. Polce's professional journey with the NYC Administration for Children's Services began as an agency attorney intern from 2019 to 2021. In this role, she gained foundational experience in legal research, case preparation and courtroom observation. Before her work with the agency, Ms. Polce was a site manager at New York Law School for the Pieper Bar Review in 2019, where she coordinated bar review activities and supported law students preparing for licensure examinations. She was also a student representative at Pace Law School for the Pieper Bar Review between 2016 and 2019 and actively participated in the Student Bar Association during that same period.
During her academic years, Ms. Polce served as a student attorney at John Jay Legal Services in White Plains, New York, from 2018 to 2019, providing legal assistance under supervision and developing practical skills essential for her future roles.
In 2018, Ms. Polce completed a legal internship with NYLAG in Manhattan, contributing to public interest legal work. She also served as a legal extern at the New York State Court of Claims within the New York State Unified Court System in White Plains from 2017 to 2018, gaining valuable insight into judicial processes. Ms. Polce was also a campus fellow with the New York State Bar Association during this time. Her early legal experience includes serving as a legal extern at Lally & Misir LLP in Mineola, New York, in 2017 and as a legal intern at the Connecticut Fair Housing Center in Greater Hartford that same year. Ms. Polce's introduction to the court system began with internships at Queens Criminal Court in Kew Gardens in 2015 and Queens Civil Court in Jamaica in 2014 through the New York State Unified Court System.
Before entering law school, Ms. Polce worked as a private tutor from 2010 to 2017, supporting students' academic growth across various subjects. She was also a college assistant at York College in Jamaica and program coordinator with the Research Foundation of City University of New York between 2015 and 2016.
Ms. Polce's academic background has been instrumental to her success. She completed a bachelor's degree in political science at York College in Jamaica, New York in 2015 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Pace University in White Plains, New York, in 2019. In addition to her formal degrees, Ms. Polce holds several certifications that have enhanced her research capabilities, including Westlaw Next certification from Thomson Reuters and professional research certification from LexisNexis, both obtained in 2017. She was admitted to practice by the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations.
