ORLANDO, FL, April 29, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Toya Baruso (Ryan) has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Toya has established herself as a dedicated real estate advocate, currently serving as a founding member and real estate advocate at 920 Real Inc. In this capacity, she has played an instrumental role in shaping the brokerage's mission and culture, drawing on her passion for helping families find homes and her expertise in buying, selling, renovating, staging and design. Her commitment to understanding clients' unique needs has set her apart in the industry.
Ms. Baruso (Ryan) met Fred DeFalco, whose mentorship and vision for community impact significantly influenced her professional path and journey. Their collaboration led to her involvement as a founding partner in his legacy project, 920 Real Inc. a milestone she regards as pivotal in her career.
Since October 2019 Toya has worked as a professional realtor, building a strong foundation through consistent performance and a commitment to client satisfaction expanding her expertise in residential transactions and homebuyer advocacy.
Throughout her career, Toya has received several notable recognitions for her achievements. She ranked among the Top 200 out of 30,000 agents in Orlando over the past three years and was named among the Top 10 Most Trusted Real Estate Agents in Florida for five consecutive years. Additionally, she has consistently been recognized among the Top 10 Real Estate Agents in Florida from 2022 to 2026. Her accolades also include the Vanguard Award, features in Best in Real Estate Magazine and Apple News, recognition by the American Institute of Real Estate Agents and inclusion among America's Top Percent of Real Estate Agents, among many others.
Furthering her industry involvement, Toya is an active member of Stellar MLS and the Orlando Regional REALTOR Association. Her education includes several certifications, including Accredited Buyer's Representative, At Home With Diversity certification and New Home Co-Broker certification.
Toya's career trajectory has been deeply influenced by formative personal experiences. Raised by her grandmother after being left by her mother at birth, she witnessed firsthand the challenges her family faced. At age eighteen, following her father's incarceration, she entered the bail bond industry, where she developed resilience and compassion while working with court & jail staff, attorneys and families that were navigating through difficult circumstances.
After starting her family at age twenty-six with the birth of her daughter, Taciana followed by her son, Marcelino a year later, Ms. Baruso (Ryan) stepped away from her career to focus on raising her children. During this time, she supported her household through various roles, such as waiting tables and bartending, to remain present for her children.
A pivotal moment came when Toya sold her childhood home under challenging circumstances, but was betrayed by someone she knew in the financial deal. This difficult experience inspired her to pursue a career in real estate with a mission to protect others from similar experiences. After relocating to Florida, she spent two years caring for her children before reentering the workforce as they reached their teenage years. Her early efforts included assisting clients with modest budgets, demonstrating unwavering dedication despite limited financial return.
Reflecting on her journey, Toya attributes much of her success to her faith in God, the love of her father, Dennis Ryan and the support of the few who stood by her through adversity including Sompasong Dithavong, the mother that life chose for her, and the love she has for her children. Their influence continues to inspire her commitment to creating positive change in the lives of others. Today, she is devoted to spending time with her two children, son-in-love and Godson, now adults, and enjoys feeding cows and renovating spaces in her free time.
Ms. Baruso (Ryan) aims to challenge the perception that real estate is purely transactional or driven by financial gain, emphasizing that many professionals are genuinely invested in their clients' experiences and outcomes. She is committed to a thoughtful, client-centered approach, ensuring individuals feel understood, supported and guided as she helps them navigate decisions and bring all the pieces together in alignment with their goals. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is actively engaged in her community through volunteer work, including cooking for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Looking ahead, Toya remains focused on giving back through initiatives that support vulnerable populations, particularly children lacking stable parental care and individuals seeking recovery from addiction or hardship. She has established a foundation in honor of her father and aims to expand its reach to ensure more people feel seen, supported and empowered on their paths to healing.
