BURNET, TX, April 30, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tim Hightower has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Hightower has established a distinguished career defined by expertise in medical sales, project management, program management, sales and portfolio management, leadership, written and verbal communication and business strategy. Over the past decade, he has served as a surgical account manager for STERIS in Austin, Texas.

In his current capacity, Mr. Hightower focuses on the sale and implementation of high-end capital equipment within operating room suites, including surgical tables, overhead lighting, equipment booms and modular ceiling systems. His portfolio extends to operating room integration projects involving surgical field and wall screens for minimally invasive scopes and diagnostic displays.

Managing a vast geographical territory that covers approximately one quarter of the state of Texas, Mr. Hightower identifies and tracks upcoming healthcare construction projects while collaborating closely with chief financial officers, chief operating officers and chief executive officers to communicate the value proposition of capital products. Outfitting a suite of 8 to 12 operating rooms for renovation or new construction is a major financial undertaking, often costing between $500,000 and $1.5 million.

Mr. Hightower consults with surgical services directors to define clinical requirements for specialized environments such as labor and delivery, C-section and hybrid operating room suites. He develops technical equipment overlays and detailed architectural drawings to provide accurate budgetary quotes for long-term project planning.

Directing an intensive nine-to-twelve-month sales cycle from initial discovery through design to procurement and purchase order phase, Mr. Hightower consistently secures "basis of design" status for products he represents in 50 to 60 percent of projects. When selected as the vendor at the outset, often due to positive prior experience with capital equipment, he achieves a 75% to 90% probability of winning the business, streamlining the procurement process significantly. In competitive scenarios where facilities solicit designs and quotes from multiple vendors, he navigates head-to-head challenges with strategic acumen.

A defining achievement in Mr. Hightower's tenure came when he took over an underserved territory affected by prior turnover, where annual revenue had fallen to roughly $650,000 to $675,000. After completing training, he audited all quotes over $50,000 and found that only $580,000 of a reported $2.7 million pipeline represented legitimate, budgeted opportunities — many had been fabricated. Facing widespread client distrust, including some unaware that his company still operated locally, he set out to rebuild credibility and reestablish the brand.

Mr. Hightower's most significant turnaround involved a major $2 million renovation across 12 new operating rooms for a client who initially refused to purchase anything beyond surgical tables due to years without representation. Through persistent advocacy and demonstration of product quality, Mr. Hightower expanded an initial $480,000 table purchase into a comprehensive $1.7 million order including surgical lights, booms, scrub sinks and warming cabinets.

This success extended throughout the Seton hospital system under the Ascension group purchasing organization; as word spread of his reliability, they became his best customer regionally. By the end of his first three years, Mr. Hightower had grown the territory by 470%, transforming a $675,000 revenue stream into an annual business exceeding $3.5 million.

Prior to joining his current company in 2016, Mr. Hightower spent five years as a senior medical device sales representative with Covidien from 2011 to 2016. In this role, he further honed his expertise in medical sales while contributing critical feedback on products in development and new product introductions through service on field sales council teams, a distinction reserved for top-performing representatives nationwide.

Before entering the medical device sector, Mr. Hightower built a robust foundation over 15 years at what is now known as AT&T, from 1996 through April 2011. Beginning his career with Southwestern Bell before its acquisition of Ameritech, Pacific Bell and Southern New England Telephone — and ultimately adopting the AT&T brand — he held various roles involving leadership responsibilities in marketing, project management, program management and portfolio oversight. His tenure included extensive collaboration with vice presidents and senior executive vice presidents in strategic roles such as chief of staff.

In addition to his health care career, Mr. Hightower is co-founder of a local real estate firm where he serves as a licensed real estate agent alongside his partner. Together, they have maintained a steady portfolio of 10 to 12 listings over nearly four years, despite challenging market conditions, primarily focusing on seller-side transactions.

Mr. Hightower's academic background includes earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University with a major in industrial operations management. Influenced by his upbringing in an industry-centered town and an early intention to work in manufacturing, potentially in the automotive or chemical sectors, he developed foundational skills in design and just-in-time management that have informed his approach throughout his career.

Throughout his career, Mr. Hightower has credited his success to a genuine passion for collaborating with people at all levels to achieve shared goals, taking pride in building strong teams and guiding them through complex challenges. He has been recognized with honors, including induction into the President's Club for outstanding sales performance and selection to multiple field sales council teams, where he contributed feedback on product development and improvements.

Known for his civic engagement, Mr. Hightower is affiliated with Kiwanis International and has served as president of his local property owners association from 2019 through 2025. He actively supports charitable causes meaningful to him and his family, including mission work abroad, such as supporting a missionary who recently returned from service in Albania.

Born in Decatur, Alabama, Mr. Hightower enjoys an active personal life centered around travel, water sports and boating—taking full advantage of living on the water near the Highland Lakes northwest of Austin, Texas. Looking ahead, he expects to continue building upon his record of accomplishment in health care while expanding his real estate footprint alongside his partner by growing their company and bringing more agents under their brokerage, all while maintaining balance between both professional pursuits without compromise.
