Chapman professor emeritus of marketing and communications. In this capacity, Dr. Greyser is responsible for teaching brand marketing, advertising, corporate communications, the business of sports and nonprofit management.

Dr. Greyser initially began his vocation working as a research assistant and an assistant editor of the Harvard Business Review before joining the HBS faculty in 1966 as an assistant professor. He later advanced to the post of a professor in 1972, and created two popular business elective courses, sports business and corporate communications, while concurrently serving in variety of leadership roles at the Harvard Business Review. Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Greyser has also authored 17 books, numerous journal articles and over 300 HBS-published case studies.

Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Greyser pursued an education at Harvard University, where he obtained a Bachler of Arts in 1956, followed by a Master of Business Administration in 1958. He continued his academic efforts at the Harvard Business School, earning a doctorate in business administration in 1965. As a commitment to his field, Dr. Greyser has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Academy of Advertising, the Association for Consumer Research, the American Marketing Association and the Advertising Research Foundation, among others.

Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Dr. Greyser has been inducted into the Market Research Council Hall of Fame in 2022. Moreover, he has received multiple awards, including the Sports Marketing Lifetime Achievement award, the Media Master's Award from Lipscomb University, the Pathfinder Award from the Institute of Public Relations and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, to only name a few. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud to have participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremonies, where he was asked by CCTV in China to help the Chinese public understand certain sports that were not as familiar to that culture. Dr. Greyser later shared his insights on the branding implications for China and was told that up to 100 million people may have seen the segment that he was on, which he regarded as the biggest classroom that he has ever had.
