Since 2022, she has served as a leadership instructor at Bethel Lutheran High School in Morton, Illinois. In this capacity, she incorporates both Christian and life coaching approaches in teaching her students. She also works as an accountability partner for individuals seeking to overcome obstacles and achieve new milestones in their personal or professional lives. Her expertise is particularly focused in guiding those transitioning from college teaching to middle administrative roles within community colleges, reflecting her deep understanding of institutional culture and the unique challenges faced by educators and their students.

From 2001 to 2006, Dr. Kinsinger held the position of director of instructional innovation and faculty development and subsequently promoted in 2006 to 2017 to associate dean of organizational learning at Illinois Central College, having previously served as the medical laboratory technician program director at the same institution from 1983 to 2003. In this role, she was responsible for curriculum development, accreditation processes, teaching hematology, urinalysis, and immunohematology, advising students, and supervising students in their clinical placements. Her professional medical lab career included serving as hematology supervisor at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington, Illinois from 1973 to 1975, at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago from 1975 to 1976, and Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, from 1976 to 1978.

Among Dr. Kinsinger's most significant achievements is her leadership in founding Bethel Lutheran High School at Bethel Lutheran Ministries during the COVID-19 pandemic. As chair of the strategic planning committee, she collaborated with parents, church leaders, community members, and congregational members to assess feasibility and ultimately establish the high school. This accomplishment stands as a testament to her vision, resilience and ability to unite diverse stakeholders around a common goal.

Dr. Kinsinger's professional expertise encompasses community college education, life and career coaching, institutional culture and leading women's Bible study groups. She is recognized for her ability to help individuals who feel overwhelmed with their current career and life situations to discover their next steps. Dr. Kinsinger asks inquisitive questions to unlock what her clients already know they should do and serves as an accountability partner to support them in their transformative journey. Her commitment to professional development is reflected in her memberships with the John Maxwell Leadership Team since 2024 and her professional life of leadership and service in the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science at the local and state level additionally holding a national office of membership development chair.

Academically, Dr. Kinsinger's credentials include a Doctor of Education in community college leadership from Ferris State University, earned in 2022, a Master of Arts in secondary education from Bradley University in 1979 and a Bachelor of Science in medical laboratory sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center, completed in 1973. She further enhanced her professional qualifications as a Maxwell Leadership Certified Team Member in 2024 and became a Maxwell Leadership Certified Coach in 2025.

Throughout her journey, Dr. Kinsinger has credited her achievements to the influence of exceptional mentors—family, supervisors and colleagues—who guided her at critical junctures. She also attributes her enduring success to her faith in Christ, which continues to inspire her work and service.

In her personal life, Dr. Kinsinger values family life with her spouse, David, and their children, Katie and Kyle, and their families including 5 grands. She enjoys hiking, discovering wildflowers, walking on beaches, spending time with friends and participating actively in church activities, including leading ladies' Bible study groups. In the upcoming years, she intends to further develop her life coaching practice with an emphasis on helping others achieve meaningful progress in their lives and careers while maintaining her focus on service over financial gain.
