IRVINE, CA, May 07, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mario Moore has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Moore's professional trajectory reflects a steady progression from his early upbringing in Joshua Tree, California to a bachelor's degree in history at UCLA, followed by Harvard Law School, and a distinguished career in legal practice in New York and California. As a first-generation attorney, his career is marked by curiosity, adaptability, and persistence in addressing legal issues of first impression on lengthy complex cases involving new technologies, unusual factual settings, recently enacted statutes, and new lines of case law. Mr. Moore enjoys providing clients with best-in-class service in demanding, high-pressure environments in New York City, the Silicon Valley, and Southern California. He handles a diverse range of cases in state court in California and in federal court in Massachusetts, Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, New York, and California, while providing assistance on ancillary proceedings in Asia and Europe.
For the past decade, Mr. Moore has served as a litigation partner at Dan Johnson Law Group in San Francisco, California. In that time, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigations involving antitrust, fraud, negligence, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, and intellectual property infringement. His expertise spans antitrust, intellectual property and commercial litigation, fields in which he has earned recognition for his depth of knowledge and strategic acumen. During this period, he achieved notable outcomes, including work on high value IP and antitrust cases in New York and Northern California, a favorable settlement in a 10-figure trade secret matter, summary judgment in federal court in Northern California dismissing a $20+ million claim, and a $4.8 million jury verdict for plaintiff in California Superior Court in Sacramento.
Mr. Moore has also worked as lead counsel on significant pro bono work, including ongoing litigation relating to lending fraud and financial elder abuse. This work has sought to ensure that private money lenders modify their business practices to implement additional safeguards for older adults. The litigation has shed light on the risk of fraud and undue influence in certain types of unregulated loans, ensuring that vulnerable individuals are better protected from unauthorized or misunderstood transactions. This work is beneficial to the community, advancing protections for the elderly in the state of California.
Prior to joining Dan Johnson Law Group in 2016, Mr. Moore was senior counsel at Westland Real Estate Group in Long Beach from 2014 to 2016. There, he provided legal guidance on real estate transactions, compliance matters, and numerous litigations for the organization. From 2011 to 2014, Mr. Moore was of counsel at the Irvine office of the international firm Morgan Lewis. In this role, he contributed to high-stakes cases involving intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation for a diverse client base.
Mr. Moore's earlier tenure as senior associate at Howrey LLP — following its combination with Day Casebeer Madrid & Batchelder LLP — in Palo Alto and Irvine from 2003 to 2011 provided him the opportunity to engage in litigation, trial advocacy, and appellate work in numerous patent cases throughout the country. He was a major participant in several plaintiff-side successes at trial and on appeal involving biotechnology used in novel patient treatments, as well as defending innovators in the enterprise software market.
Mr. Moore began his legal career as an associate attorney at Clifford Chance from 2001 to 2002, where he gained foundational experience in complex antitrust, securities, and IP litigation matters. This early professional experience followed the completion of his academic training, which included a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 2001 and a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he graduated summa cum laude in 1997.
Mr. Moore is an active member in the New York State Bar Association and The State Bar of California. He is admitted to practice law in both New York and California.
Reflecting on his career, Mr. Moore credits his success to mentorship received throughout his education and career, from law school professors to experienced attorneys at each firm where he practiced as well as trusted colleagues and law school classmates. He emphasizes the importance of practical training and real-world experience in developing sound judgment and effective client service, as well as the role of the legal system in ensuring that clients and individuals have a meaningful opportunity to be heard and present their cases to judges and juries. He approaches his work with diligence, tenacity, and a long-term commitment to achieving results.
Mr. Moore's commitment to community engagement is evident through more than 500 hours of pro bono work a year focused on combating fraud against the elderly. This dedication has not only advanced protections for vulnerable populations but also reinforced his standing as an advocate for justice within the legal community. Additionally, he supports education and community art events as part of his broader commitment to empowering individuals and fostering economic development and support of artistic endeavor.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Moore enjoys playing tennis, hiking, cycling, and trail walking, particularly in state parks and beaches, and numerous national parks. He has also maintained his lifelong interest in studying economic, cultural, and intellectual history. Looking ahead, he remains dedicated to contributing to the community through economic empowerment initiatives and individual development efforts. He aims to support aspiring law students and attorneys while advancing a legal system that better protects consumers, older adults, and low-income populations from fraud, anticompetitive behavior and unfair business practices by deterring such conduct and holding responsible parties accountable when harm occurs.
