He was first hired at the rank of design engineer in 2014 then progressed to project manager from 2018 through 2021. Mr. Cruz remains particularly proud of his collaboration on the Nvidia Voyager project, a full ground up build that hosts all Nvidia employees on their main campus.

He completed a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from California State University, Chico and secured the certified millwork professional designation from the Woodwork Institute. He attributes his advancement thus far to determination, focus and hard work, as well as a signature ability to think ahead. Notably, Mr. Cruz acknowledges his parents' unwavering support and recognizes the positive influence of Kevin Fitzgerald, a former supervisor at ACCO Engineered Systems who mentored him about time management and modeled an exemplary work ethic.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Cruz remains actively involved in organizations such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and he serves on the marketing committee board at Work Institute. His civic engagement extends to leadership roles including vice president of Theta Chi during his college years and participation with United Way. In his personal life, Mr. Cruz enjoys playing golf and cherishes spending time with his three daughters.
