RANDOLPH, NJ, May 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew M. Porcelli, MSc, CPP, MSI, F.ISRM, FSyl, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Porcelli has established a distinguished career in the security and protection industry, marked by more than two decades of progressive leadership and service. Since 2017, he has served as a security manager at Harvard Protection Services, where he is responsible for contract safety and security management. In this capacity, he assists clients in mitigating threats and safety issues with security officers and acts as a vital conduit between clients and his employer.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Porcelli was security operations manager at U.S. Security Associates Inc. from 2015 to 2017, after one year as a security operations manager at Global Elite Group. Earlier in his career, he served as a shift supervisor at Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. from 2009 to 2014 and began his career as a police and 911 emergency dispatcher with the Maplewood Police Department from 2008 to 2009.

Throughout his professional journey, Mr. Porcelli has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the field. Among his most notable achievements is winning the Outstanding Young Security Professional Award at the Outstanding Security Performance Awards in 2023, a testament to his dedication and impact within the industry.

Mr. Porcelli's influence extends beyond his primary roles through active participation in numerous professional organizations. He has served as chair of the North America Hub for the Institute of Strategic Risk Management since 2024 and is a member of the ethics committee for the International Foundation for Protection Officers since 2024. Additionally, he is a steering committee member for FLOSIG at The Security Institute and holds memberships with the National Association of Safety Professionals, International Foundation for Protection Officers and The Security Institute, among many others.

Educationally, Mr. Porcelli's background has been instrumental in shaping his expertise in security management. He earned a Master of Science in administration of justice and security from the University of Phoenix in 2014 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice at Caldwell University in 2007. His educational pursuits also include coursework in various subjects, such as white collar crime, cyber crime and counter terrorism intelligence through the FBI Citizens' Academy.

Mr. Porcelli has further strengthened his credentials through a range of certifications in security instruction, risk management and safety. He holds a master security instructor and certified protection officer instructor designation from the International Foundation for Protection Officers, along with advanced risk credentials, including a Level VI diploma in strategic risk and crisis management and enterprise security risk management certifications through ASIS International. He also completed key operational training, such as OSHA outreach and executive protection, in addition to specialized aviation security certifications, among many others.

Before entering his field, Mr. Porcelli was inspired during his upbringing in the Roman Catholic faith, which instilled a profound sense of duty to protect others. This calling led him initially toward law enforcement studies before ultimately finding his vocation within private security—a field he regards as both a calling and a mission aligned with his values.

Civically involved, Mr. Porcelli has served on the advisory council for The Crisis Response Journal since 2022 and maintains active involvement with Hostage U.S., InfraGard, Airline Ambassadors International and Habitat for Humanity International. His decade-long volunteer service as an auxiliary police lieutenant with Roseland Auxiliary Police also underscores his longstanding commitment to public safety.

Mr. Porcelli has earned widespread recognition for his contributions to the security industry, highlighted by being named among the top thirty influencers by Security Journal Americas in 2026 and receiving the "Outstanding Young Security Professional" award in 2023. He has also achieved fellow status with both The Security Institute and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management, reflecting his professional standing in the field. In addition, he has been repeatedly recognized as a finalist for major industry honors, including The Security Institute's "International Achiever of the Year" and the Outstanding Security Performance Awards.

A prolific contributor to thought leadership within his field, Mr. Porcelli has authored or co-authored fifty-six publications addressing topics like frontline officer empowerment, strategic risk management and technological innovation within executive protection. Other notable works include "Bullet-Proofing Balloting Season," published by Crisis Response Journal, "Frontline Security Officers: An Imperative Force Multiplier," featured by City Security Magazine, and collaborative pieces presented at GSX and ASIS International events. He has also participated as a guest speaker on The Security Circle Podcast, discussing professional development themes relevant to emerging leaders within global security sectors.

In his personal life, Mr. Porcelli values time spent with family—his spouse Heather, whom he married in 2014—and their children Luke, Mark and Gianna. He enjoys hiking as a hobby alongside family activities that foster connection outside professional commitments.
