CHARLOTTE, NC, May 14, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Terry White has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. White has built a distinguished career in operations and leadership, most notably with Pitney Bowes Inc., where he has served as General Manager in the Charlotte, North Carolina metropolitan area since 2017. In this role, he oversees one of the company's largest facilities, manages approximately 60 client relationships, and leads a team of nearly 175 employees. Under his leadership, the Charlotte site has achieved significant improvements in both employee engagement and financial performance, rising from fifth to sixth in revenue rankings, to consistently placing among the company's top sites. Mr. White emphasizes communication, training, teamwork, and engagement as cornerstones of his leadership philosophy.
Prior to his current role, Mr. White served as General Manager for Pitney Bowes operations in Durham, North Carolina, and Denver, Colorado, from 2012 to 2017. During this time, he identified opportunities for operational consolidation, ultimately leading to the closure of the Durham facility and its integration into Charlotte operations—enhancing efficiency and resource utilization. In Denver, he successfully led a turnaround that resulted in record-high employee engagement scores for the site.
From 2006 to 2012, Mr. White held several leadership roles at Pitney Bowes, including Executive Customer Service Manager. In this capacity, he facilitated leadership training and played a key role in developing emerging talent. His commitment to leadership development recently earned him a position on the company's Enterprise Leadership Council, an internal organization dedicated to fostering high-performing leaders, moving with speed, all while delivering excellence and winning together.
Mr. White began his professional career at First Union National Bank (now Wells Fargo), where he worked from 1993 to 2006 as an Automated Rendering and U.S. Mail Manager. In this role, he managed critical mail logistics operations that supported major financial institutions in the Charlotte region.
Throughout his career, Mr. White has remained actively involved in professional and community organizations. In addition to his membership on the Enterprise Leadership Council at Pitney Bowes, he served as an industry co-chair of the Greater Charlotte Postal Customer Council from 2010 to 2012 and remains a board member of the North Carolina PCC today. He is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. White's academic journey reflects perseverance and determination. After initially enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1991, he temporarily paused his studies due to financial constraints. With the support of Pitney Bowes' tuition reimbursement program and mentorship from company leadership, he returned to complete his education while working full time, earning a bachelor's degree in political science and government at age 38.
Committed to continuous professional development, Mr. White has completed several distinguished programs and certifications, including the Black Executive Leadership Program with McKinsey & Company (2023) and certification in Leading with Intelligent Disobedience from LinkedIn Corporation (2020). He also graduated from a 13-week business program offered by the Harvard Business School Alumni Club of Charlotte in 2010.
Raised in Baltimore, MD, Mr. White credits his upbringing for shaping his values and leadership style. Inspired by his mother's work as an activity therapist serving individuals with mental impairments, he developed a strong sense of empathy and a commitment to service—qualities that continue to influence his leadership approach and dedication to fostering inclusive environments.
His contributions have been recognized through several awards, including being named General Manager of the Year by Pitney Bowes in 2022, an honor based on sales performance, financial results, and overall business growth.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. White enjoys travel, golf, mentoring, and spending time with his family. His wife is a registered nurse with Medline Industries, and his son resides in Seattle, Washington.
Looking ahead, Mr. White aspires to transition into roles focused on strategic development, seeking opportunities to shape organizational direction and drive meaningful change. He remains committed to empowering others, advancing educational opportunities for all, and contributing to both business and community leadership.
