Ms. McKenzie has established herself as an expert in the paralegal profession, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and professional growth throughout her career. In her current role as a senior case manager and paralegal at Blackstone Global in Walnut Creek, which she began in 2025, Ms. McKenzie represents general contractors, developers and subcontractors. She is responsible for communicating with attorneys and ensuring that all parties are well-informed throughout the legal process. Her expertise and dedication have contributed to the firm's ability to deliver high-quality legal services.

Prior to joining Blackstone Global, Ms. McKenzie served as a paralegal at Valerian Law P.C. in Berkeley from 2023 to 2025. In this capacity, she supported attorneys by preparing legal documents, conducting research and managing case files. Her attention to detail and organizational skills were instrumental in streamlining workflow and supporting successful case outcomes.

From 2022 to 2023, Ms. McKenzie worked as a case analyst at Berding Weil in Walnut Creek, California. There, she analyzed complex legal matters and provided critical support to attorneys handling community association law cases. During this period, she identified a significant need within the firm for notary services, particularly as many notaries were working remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recognizing the importance of accessibility for clients and colleagues, Ms. McKenzie proactively obtained her commission as a notary public through the National Notary Association in 2022. Although it was not required for her position, she maintained her commission and recently renewed it, continuing to provide valuable notarization services for family and friends even after being laid off.

In 2021, Ms. McKenzie held the position of litigation paralegal at Bledsoe, Diestel, Treppa & Crane LLP in Walnut Creek. She played a key role in supporting litigation teams by managing discovery processes and assisting with trial preparation. Her professional journey began as a business immigration coordinator at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy LLP from 2019 to 2021. In this role, she coordinated immigration cases for corporate clients and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.

Ms. McKenzie's commitment to advancing her professional credentials is evident as she works toward becoming a certified paralegal. Having recently received study materials for certification, she is focused on advancing her standing in the field after several years of experience. She is also an active member of NALA – The Paralegal Association, reflecting her dedication to ongoing professional development and engagement with industry peers.

Ms. McKenzie's educational background includes earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from California State University, East Bay. She also holds a certification in paralegal studies from the same institution. These academic achievements have provided her with a strong foundation in legal principles and practices that underpin her success across various roles.

Throughout her career, Ms. McKenzie has credited her professional growth and accomplishments to constructive feedback from supervisors and colleagues. She values the lessons gained from each role, viewing every experience as an opportunity for continuous learning and development. She approaches her career with the belief that finding the right niche and genuinely enjoying the work leads to long-term fulfillment and makes the work itself feel meaningful rather than burdensome.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. McKenzie has demonstrated civic-mindedness through volunteer work during the Tubbs Fire in 2017. Her willingness to contribute during times of crisis underscores her commitment to community service.

Born in Pleasanton, Ms. McKenzie enjoys dancing, going to the gym and playing tennis and pickleball during her personal time. Looking ahead, she aspires to assume a supervisory role within the legal field and obtain full paralegal certification while continuing to build on her record of achievement and service.
