Previously, Mr. Rothman served as vice president of marketing and cannabis science at EM2P2 Inc. from 2022 to 2025, where he helped bridge traditional healthcare frameworks with the rapidly evolving field of cannabis medicine. During this time, he contributed to the growth of CannaLnx, a digital health platform designed to connect patients, physicians and dispensaries through education, care coordination and healthcare reimbursement solutions tied to medical cannabis purchases. The platform became associated with some of the first reimbursement benefit programs for medical cannabis in United States history.

Mr. Rothman first joined EM2P2 Inc. in 2018 as media content manager before advancing to director of cannabis science and media content in 2021. Across these roles, he helped shape the company's educational voice and software development strategy while contributing to technology solutions focused on underserved communities and patient access.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rothman co-owned Retail Therapy Ventura from 2012 to 2014 and Queen Bee Clones from 2009 to 2012, gaining hands-on experience in cannabis horticulture and business operations. From 2004 to 2007, he served as operations manager at Specialized Horticulture Inc., where he developed expertise in large-scale cultivation systems and project management.

Alongside his work in healthcare and technology, Mr. Rothman has maintained a long-standing commitment to holistic wellness and personal development. Since 2014, he has worked as a tai chi instructor through Matthew Myro Transformational Coaching, and from 2015 to 2019 he also served as a life coach focused on mindfulness, movement practices and human performance.

Known for his interdisciplinary thinking and ability to synthesize complex ideas across multiple domains, Mr. Rothman has become a recognized voice in the cannabis medicine space. Most notably, CannaLnx was featured in Forbes magazine's special edition "42.0," highlighting 42 influential companies shaping the future of the cannabis industry.

Mr. Rothman earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from Cleveland State University in 2003 through a self-designed interdisciplinary program combining sociocultural anthropology, philosophy of religion and cultural arts. He later received a Master of Arts in philosophy, cosmology and consciousness from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in 2005.

During graduate school, Mr. Rothman was introduced to California's early medical cannabis movement through advocates connected to Proposition 215, the nation's first medical cannabis law. That experience would ultimately shape the direction of his professional career.

His continued commitment to holistic health and lifelong learning is reflected in additional certifications, including a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher credential through Yoga Alliance and a certification in permaculture design.

Outside of his executive and educational work, Mr. Rothman has hosted the Edge of Cannabis Medicine Podcast since 2020 and, in 2015, released an original music album under the Matthew Myro moniker titled Suspended Liberation. He also participated in Habitat for Humanity International's 2018 community-building initiatives.

Reflecting on his career, Mr. Rothman credits his success to curiosity, information retention and an ability to synthesize that information into new ideas. He believes society is entering a new era in which cannabis medicine is increasingly being recognized as a legitimate component of healthcare following its federal rescheduling from Schedule I to Schedule III. Through his work with CannaLnx and EM2P2, he hopes to help accelerate the responsible integration of cannabis medicine into mainstream healthcare systems.

Born in Cleveland, Mr. Rothman enjoys playing guitar and banjo, attending live concerts and festivals, and spending time outdoors hiking and gardening. Fitness, movement arts, and mindfulness practices remain central to his life.
