In 2014 Ms. Hinds founded and is the current CEO of Discover & Recover Counseling Services, LLC, where she provides direct counseling services to individuals struggling with addiction and substance abuse issues. Her approach is rooted in her own experience with recovery, which informs her belief that sobriety is only the beginning of a person's journey toward fulfillment and purpose. Her dedication to her clients' well-being is reflected in the testimonials she receives, with many crediting her programs with saving their lives or helping them avoid incarceration.

Ms. Hinds has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the counseling field with a spotlight feature in Voyage Houston Magazine and maintains active membership in the TAAP, further demonstrating her commitment to supporting those affected by trauma and loss.

Hailing from an equally accomplished academic background, Ms. Hinds earned a Master of Science in clinical mental health counseling from Capella University as well as a Master of Science in human services and bachelor's degree in human services, both from Springfield College with magna cum laude honors. She also completed vocational coursework at The Institute of Chemical Dependency Studies in 2010 and obtained an Associate of Arts in computer-aided design (AutoCAD) from Westwood College in 2010, equipping her with a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and interpersonal aspects required for effective counseling and program management.

To augment her professional credentials, Ms. Hinds was certified as a drug and alcohol counselor in 2025 and licensed as a chemical dependency counselor through the Texas Department of State Health Services in 2014.

Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Hinds attributes much of her success to the unwavering support she has received — a factor that has enabled her to persevere through significant life challenges and remain dedicated to helping others achieve lasting change. In particular, she is immensely grateful to her husband Mark as well as her Aunt Faye Morgan, who stood by her at every stage of her life and career.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Hinds is deeply engaged in civic activities and community service. Since 2012, she has worked with individuals in recovery at Lakewood Church and regularly volunteers for charitable initiatives aimed at giving back to the Houston community.

Also an emerging author, Ms. Hinds is currently working on two books: "Dying to Live" and another forthcoming title that continues her mission of sharing knowledge and inspiration with a broader audience.

Happily married for nearly 25 years, Ms. Hinds enjoys writing, practicing self-care activities such as massages and facials, swimming, spending time with her family — including tea parties and movie outings — visiting the beach and dining out.
