Before joining American Airlines, Mr. Samayam worked as a database administrator at Advanced Technology Services Inc. in 2012. He previously served as a database administrator at Li-ion Motors from 2010 to 2012, an electric vehicle manufacturing company funded by NASA. Here, he also contributed as an electrical engineer, supporting essential database systems required for electric vehicle manufacturing. Before moving to the United States to further his education, he began his professional career as a database administrator at Wipro Technologies in India from 2007 to 2008.

Throughout his career, Mr. Samayam has demonstrated a passion for continuous learning and personal transformation at each pivotal juncture. He is particularly proud of his ability to adapt to industry changes while sharing insights with peers and the broader community—a commitment that defines his professional identity. Mr. Samayam's academic background has been integral to his success. He earned a master's degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2011, where he refined his skills in database administration, telecommunications and electrical engineering. He previously completed a bachelor's degree in electronics and communications engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India, in 2007.

Beyond his formal education, Mr. Samayam has earned numerous certifications, including Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Associate and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Multicloud Architect Associate, along with additional certifications in Snowflake, Airflow and cloud fundamentals from Oracle, Microsoft and AWS. In addition to his credentials, he attributes his achievements to the unwavering support of his family—his parents, wife and daughter—as well as the guidance of teachers and mentors who have shaped his path with discipline and encouragement.

Since 2019, he has volunteered with American Airlines' community programs, contributing time and expertise to various causes. He has also served on committee panels reviewing senior member applications for IEEE in both 2024 and 2025, reflecting his standing within the professional community. Earlier in his career, he volunteered with Care India Foundation from 2007 to 2008.

A recognized thought leader, Mr. Samayam frequently speaks at user group meetings, such as the PostgreSQL User Group and Dallas Oracle User Group, sharing practical demonstrations that make complex technologies accessible to beginners.
