LIBERTY, SC, June 01, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mark R. Peabody has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Peabody has demonstrated a remarkable trajectory in the manufacturing and chemical storage industry, marked by decades of innovation, resilience and leadership. As chief executive officer of Peabody Engineering LLC since 2021, he has overseen the company's expansion into a leading manufacturer of chemical and water storage tanks, process tanks and related equipment. Under his guidance, the company serves a diverse clientele that includes chemical companies, municipalities and organizations involved in water and wastewater management as well as agricultural applications. Mr. Peabody manages all aspects of operations, from accounting and office administration to manufacturing, marketing and product development. He also consults for major accounts, specifying products and assisting with technical applications.

Currently, Mr. Peabody supervises a staff of 54 employees and is directing a significant facility expansion, adding another 50,000 square feet to their existing space with an investment of $9 million. This growth supports the company's annual rate of 25% and enables service to approximately 2,000 customers across national and international markets, including Canada, Mexico and emerging regions in Europe and Asia. His technical writing expertise further enhances the company's reputation for quality and reliability.

Prior to establishing Peabody Engineering LLC in 2021, Mr. Peabody served as the chief executive officer of Peabody Engineering & Supply Incorporated in California, where he was employed from 1978 to 2025. He assumed ownership of the business with his brother Larry in 1982 after they purchased the company from their father. At that time, the company faced significant financial challenges due to embezzlement, economic downturns in agriculture and substantial debt. Over more than a decade, Mr. Peabody led efforts to stabilize the business by pivoting from agricultural fertilizer equipment to distributing plastic chemical tanks and related products.

By identifying market needs for unique double containment chemical tanks around 1995, he initiated product development that set new industry standards. Initially relying on contract molding partners, he recognized the need for greater competitiveness and brought manufacturing in-house by acquiring rotational molding equipment. This strategic move enabled expansion into single- and double-walled tanks as well as other specialty products.

By 2015, with a growing customer base on the East Coast but operations still based in Corona, California, Mr. Peabody identified South Carolina as an optimal location for manufacturing due to its favorable business climate and logistics advantages. In 2021, he established Peabody Engineering LLC as a separate entity while maintaining ownership continuity with the California operation. The decision to consolidate all operations in South Carolina by 2025 was driven by significantly higher profitability—achieving a net income margin of over 30% compared to just 5% in California—along with lower costs for utilities, labor and insurance.

Concurrent with this position, Mr. Peabody also held the role of chief executive officer at Peabody Concealment, known as The Cell Site Disguise Guys, under Peabody Engineering & Supply, Inc. from 1996 to 2025. In this capacity, he contributed to innovative solutions for telecommunications infrastructure by developing products that blend cell sites into their environments.

Throughout his career, Mr. Peabody has become an expert in manufacturing chemical and water storage tanks, process tanks and related equipment, as well as chemical process applications and the safe handling and storage of chemicals. His expertise is recognized by industry peers, and he is an active member of the Water Environment Federation, Association of Water Technologies, and Association of Rotational Molders.

Mr. Peabody's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in finance from California State University, Dominguez Hills, earned in 1982. He also completed coursework in accounting and finance at the USC Marshall School of Business in 1980-81 and coursework in business administration at Chico State in 1976-79. Beyond his formal education, he attributes his success to patience, perseverance and a willingness to listen to customers, which has enabled him to develop innovative products that address real-world needs. He also credits his faith in Jesus Christ as a guiding force throughout his career, providing strength during difficult times, guiding and shaping his commitment to ethical business practices.

Mr. Peabody's leadership has transformed the company from a small family-run operation with $1.5 million in revenue into an enterprise generating more than $15 million annually. The company's proprietary product line is distributed by hundreds of partners, reflecting Mr. Peabody's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Beyond his professional work, Mr. Peabody has been actively involved in civic and community organizations. He has held leadership roles with the Circle City Rotary, including serving as fundraising chairman and board member, and remains a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club of Clemson. His service to healthcare and community wellbeing includes governing board membership at Corona Regional Medical Center and support for The Foundation for Community and Family Health. He has also contributed to the Corona Chamber of Commerce in executive and chair roles, participated in greeting ministries at Crossroads Christian Church and engaged in peer and leadership groups such as Convene Group 4, while also supporting a range of nonprofit initiatives as a donor.

Professionally, Mr. Peabody's achievements have been recognized with several awards, including being included in Manufacturing Today in 2025, receiving the Top Workplace Award from Press Enterprise from 2016 to 2019 and being named Family Owned Business of the Year from the U.S. Small Business Administration in 2018. He was also honored as Father of the Year from the American Diabetes Association and the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Award from California State University, San Bernardino. Additionally, he has contributed thought leadership through authoring white papers on topics like proper handling and storage of chemicals, differences between materials of construction and their respective advantages and disadvantages.

Born in Hawthorne, CA, Mr. Peabody is a fourth-generation California native who grew up immersed in his family's business. He enjoys gardening, growing vegetables and flowers and spending time with his grandchildren. His two sons are an integral part of his life; one son works alongside him at Peabody Engineering LLC and has relocated with his family to South Carolina and the other is a technician for Thermo-Fisher Scientific, a Fortune 100 Company.

Looking ahead, Mr. Peabody aims to continue building the company's product line and enhancing brand recognition while expanding market presence through ongoing innovation. He is committed to developing solutions that simplify installations for professionals in the field, making advanced chemical-handling systems accessible and user-friendly for all levels of expertise. This vision continues to drive his efforts as he leads Peabody Engineering LLC into its next phase of growth.

Mr. Peabody encourages others to recognize that no one is perfect and that success is rarely a straight path. He emphasizes that setbacks are inevitable and often outnumber visible achievements, but consistent effort and daily persistence are essential. In his view, progress comes from continuing to move forward despite obstacles, staying focused on one's goals and not being deterred by discouragement or doubt from others. Drawing from his own experience, he notes that persistence in the face of skepticism has been a key factor in his long-term success.
