MIAMI, FL, June 02, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pablo A. Kiger has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Kiger has established a distinguished international career in produce management and quality assurance, marked by expertise in supply chain operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
In 2025, he assumed the role of Quality Assurance Director at Alpine Fresh LLC in Miami, Florida. In this capacity, Mr. Kiger has been instrumental in establishing the Quality program for berries, vegetables, and fresh cuts in the US, Mexico, Peru, and Chile, ensuring alignment of quality assurance standards from the source to destination. His responsibilities include overseeing comprehensive supply chain processes, coordinating cold treatment, transportation, and customer expectations for fruits and vegetables. Mr. Kiger's commitment to providing excellent eating experiences is reflected in his focus on product repeat demand.
Before joining Alpine Fresh LLC, Mr. Kiger served as the group head of quality at Unifrutti Group in Santiago, Chile, during the back half of 2025. There, he led initiatives to enhance product standards and operational efficiency within the organization's diverse portfolio, tasked with the oversight of global quality assurance, control, and food safety programs for fresh produce.
Between 2024 and 2025, Mr. Kiger contributed to GLG as an expert, offering specialized insights into quality assurance, harvest, postharvest, supply chain operations, and freight transportation for clients worldwide. During that same time frame, he served as a GLOBALG.A.P. auditor with QIMA WQS in Oregon and Washington states, where he was responsible for evaluating compliance with international agricultural standards across multiple regions. Mr. Kiger's role required meticulous attention to detail and a deep understanding of the best global agricultural practices.
Affiliated with Driscoll's Inc. for nearly 15 years, Mr. Kiger initially served as a quality assurance supervisor in Dover, Florida, from 2010 to 2011, managing inspection teams responsible for upholding product integrity throughout the supply chain. He then spent over five years as a quality assurance audit manager in Watsonville, California, beginning in 2012, where he oversaw audit processes that ensured compliance with the company's quality assurance standards from southern Chile to Canada. Between 2018 and 2024, Mr. Kiger held the position of Quality Assurance Manager of South America at Driscoll's Inc. in Chillán, Chile. One of his most notable achievements during this period was leading a human resources transformation upon returning to Chile after 15 years abroad. Faced with low team morale, Mr. Kiger collaborated with a facilitator to conduct DISC and 360-degree assessments that identified individual strengths and aspirations. By realigning roles based on these insights, he improved morale without resorting to layoffs and reshaped the company's quality assurance program in Chile, Peru, Colombia, and South Africa.
Another significant accomplishment for Mr. Kiger at Driscoll's Inc. involved developing the Sweetest Batch label for the Peruvian blueberry program. Over 15 months, he led a team that addressed the challenge of producing sweeter blueberries in a non-dormant climate through rigorous testing of harvest intervals and variety selection. The initiative increased production from approximately 200,000 kilos to 1 million kilos within two years and established a top-performing label for the company.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Kiger contributed as a water resources research assistant at the University of Florida in Immokalee, Florida, from 2009 to 2010, supporting research projects focused on sustainable agricultural practices.
His professional journey began in 2004 as a quality assurance inspector at Del Monte Fresh Produce in the Philadelphia area, where he gained foundational experience in fruit grading and packaging standards for various produce items, including table grapes, peaches, nectarines, plums, and cherries.
Mr. Kiger's academic background has been integral to his professional success. He holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering with an emphasis on Agricultural Economics from the Universidad de Las Americas since 2004. Additionally, Mr. Kiger obtained a master's degree in operations and project management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2019 and a Master of Business Administration from the Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia in Spain in 2023.
Further enhancing his expertise, Mr. Kiger obtained diplomas of education in environmental studies from Universidad de Antofagasta in 2002, in production quality and use of compost from the University of Florida in 2003, in vegetables technology and production from the University of Florida in 2004, in organizational leadership from Cabrillo College in 2014, and, among others, in plant pathology and phytopathology from the Universidad de Chile in 2025. He also acquired several certifications, including a HACCP Principles, PSA Grower Training Course, and GlobalG.A.P. Auditor, among other relevant educational training.
Mr. Kiger is recognized for his membership in the National Society of Leadership and Success. Beyond his professional pursuits, he is committed to civic engagement as a monthly donor to UNICEF since 2015. Previously, Mr. Kiger volunteered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for children, Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Christmas charity events in Chile, and high school mentorship programs, all based in Watsonville, California, from 2012 to 2018.
Throughout his career spanning more than two decades across a dozen countries, including the U.S., South Africa, Colombia, China, Canada, the Philippines, and Japan, Mr. Kiger has demonstrated exceptional leadership and technical acumen. Notably, his contributions were recognized by colleagues, friends, and companies Mr. Kiger worked for. Mr. Kiger attributes his achievements to an unwavering drive and passion for his work, celebrating victories when success happens as well as humility gained through learning from mistakes.
Looking ahead, Mr. Kiger is dedicated to developing advanced technology solutions, including artificial intelligence platforms designed to streamline agricultural supply chain processes, consolidate data repositories, enable real-time decision-making, increase transparency, and improve operational efficiency throughout the sector.
