MISSION HILLS, CA, June 03, 2026 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Valeria Orellana has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Orellana's career reflects a remarkable trajectory across hospitality, executive administration and finance, with her expertise in finance serving as the cornerstone of her professional advancement. Since 2024, she has held the position of chief administrative officer at Frimex Hospitality Group LLC, a prominent operator of Mexican restaurants throughout California, including Cantina Frida, Frida Cuisine Cerritos and Del Amo, 236 S. Beverly Frida, Casa Azul and Frida Tacos. In this capacity, Ms. Orellana oversees operations for six restaurants and a central office, managing more than 300 employees. Her responsibilities encompass employee welfare, incident response coordination, human resources oversight and direct management of the company's restaurant portfolio. She credits her rapid promotion to chief administrative officer within six months to her financial acumen and operational leadership. This achievement stands as her proudest professional milestone, particularly given her earlier uncertainty about consolidating her career direction.
Before joining Frimex Hospitality Group LLC, Ms. Orellana served as chief operations officer at VoCê Hair Care Inc. in Van Nuys from 2020 to 2023. There, she contributed to business growth strategy, marketing direction, and trade show presence at major industry events, including CosmoProf. Her tenure in the beauty sector was preceded by her role as director of education and office coordinator at J Beverly Hills in Chatsworth from 2016 to 2018, where she expanded her knowledge of the beauty industry and supported educational initiatives.
From 2006 to 2015, Ms. Orellana was director of operations at Executive IT Support Inc. in Van Nuys. She joined the company when it consisted of only three employees and played a pivotal role in its expansion to more than 3,000 clients and over 20 staff members. Her contributions included supporting operational growth, facilitating a move into a new building and eventually managing much of the operation herself.
Ms. Orellana's professional journey began in hospitality, serving as a restaurant assistant and personal assistant to Wolfgang Puck from 2002 to 2006. This early experience was rooted in her exposure to the household environment of Barbara Lazaroff and Wolfgang Puck, starting at age thirteen, where she learned business fundamentals firsthand through her mother's employment with the family.
Her academic background is equally distinguished. Ms. Orellana earned a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Northridge in 2021, an accomplishment that has provided her with advanced knowledge instrumental to her leadership roles in finance and administration. She also holds an associate degree in child development from Los Angeles Valley College, part of the Los Angeles Community College District, and completed coursework toward a degree in graphic design. These diverse academic pursuits have enabled her to adapt across multiple industries while maintaining a strong foundation in both creative and analytical disciplines.
Ms. Orellana's credentials include certification as a medical assistant through Health Allied Preparation at Los Angeles Valley College within the Los Angeles Community College District, as well as certifications qualifying her as both a preschool teacher and an elementary school teacher. These qualifications reflect her commitment to lifelong learning and versatility across professional domains.
Throughout her career, Ms. Orellana has attributed much of her success to mentorship received from Clem and Irving at Frimex Hospitality Group LLC, whose guidance strengthened her leadership skills and shaped her approach to organizational management.
Her achievements have garnered public recognition beyond the workplace. Ms. Orellana was featured in two magazines—one highlighting her automotive work—and was honored as one of the most influential women in the United States by Influential Women in March 2026, following recovery from a serious pulmonary embolism that resulted in nearly three months of hospitalization.
Civic engagement has also been integral to Ms. Orellana's life. She previously volunteered with an organization focused on supporting children, providing guidance akin to counseling or mentorship by helping young people recognize positive choices and offering support when needed.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Orellana is deeply passionate about car racing and automotive modification—particularly through hands-on work with her BMW M6, which she personally modified to exceed 800 horsepower. For approximately eight years, she was the only woman in a male-dominated car club, earning respect through both competitive racing success and technical expertise shared with fellow members throughout Los Angeles' track circuits and canyon routes. Her reputation for mechanical skill led others in the community to seek her assistance with vehicle maintenance and performance upgrades.
Creatively inclined, Ms. Orellana pursues art through painting and graphic design across various media—a passion supported by formal education in graphic design.
Born in Mexico City, Ms. Orellana is married to Josimar and together they have one daughter, Tsaheylu—a journey marked by perseverance through five pregnancy losses over ten years before their daughter's birth following an unexpected pregnancy after purchasing their home.
Looking ahead, Ms. Orellana remains committed to empowering others through effective leadership that prioritizes growth and development for all individuals, regardless of gender or background. She views helping others—especially children—as central to her life's purpose. She strives continually to serve as a leader who uplifts those around her rather than seeking personal status or gain.
