In his leadership capacity, Mr. Boakye collaborates with other key figures at the company, served as the primary technical presenter and subject matter expert for oral defense evaluations, translating cloud infrastructure and AI/ML integrations, guardrails into mission-focused value propositions for DoD and federal civilian prospects. He assists the clients with digital transformation programs. Among his most significant achievements to date is the successful transformation and implementation of a multi-cloud computing virtual desktop infrastructure solution for the Department of Defense, a milestone that stands as a testament to his expertise in defense technology.
Prior to joining AttainX, Mr. Boakye held the position of manager and principal engineering lead at Saliense in 2025, where he provided technical leadership and guided both commercial and federal customers through complex engineering projects and cybersecurity initiatives. From 2024 to 2025, he served the company as a senior technical consultant and principal engineering lead, further honing his skills in systems, network integration and project management.
In 2023, Mr. Boakye contributed as a senior systems engineer and solutions architect at the leading defense and space manufacturer Leidos, where he was pivotal in designing robust IT infrastructures. From 2020 to 2023, he served as the senior virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) systems engineer and architect, focusing on technical project solutions for large-scale clients. Concurrently, from 2020 to 2022, he served in a similar capacity at the Defense Information Systems Agency, where he advanced secure virtual environments for defense operations.
From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Boakye was the lead network analyst at the Defense Information Systems Agency, providing subject matter expertise in network analysis for mission-critical projects. Holding dual roles as a senior principal engineer at both the Defense Information Systems Agency and Blackspoke (now Crimson Phoenix) from 2017 to 2019, he contributed to high-level engineering initiatives in support of United States national security objectives.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Boakye excelled as a manager at Federated IT & Credential Check Corporation from 2015 to 2016, overseeing IT operations and ensuring compliance with industry standards. He served as a business system analyst for Arlington County Government in Virginia from 2014 to 2015, during which he analyzed business processes and implemented technology solutions for clients in the public sector.
From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Boakye worked as a Fairfax regional network analyst at MV Transportation, managing network infrastructure, network attached storage and data replication across multiple sites. His foundational experience came as an information security analyst and IT analyst at the International Monetary Fund in Washington, District of Columbia, where he provided end user support and drove cybersecurity initiatives for global financial operations.
Hailing from an equally robust academic background, Mr. Boakye earned a Master of Science in information systems from University of Maryland, Baltimore County after completing a Bachelor of Science in information systems management at University of Maryland. He also holds an associate degree in computer network and wireless technologies from Montgomery College.
Committed to the principles of ongoing education, Mr. Boakye has completed the Chief Technology Officer Executive Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2026.
In addition to his main responsibilities, Mr. Boakye has been a proactive participant in the Greater Washington DC Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) since 2025.
To enhance his expertise and credentials, he is certified as an information security manager, has completed various leadership courses through Wharton Executive Education, and possesses both professional and associate level certifications as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) certified solutions architect, along with several other certificates from Microsoft, Coursera, CompTIA and the Project Management Institute.
Reflecting on his storied journey to date, Mr. Boakye attributes his success to his upbringing and the resilience he developed during his childhood. Inspired by his father, a first-generation immigrant who worked as an electrical engineer and patent examiner for over two decades, he learned early on about overcoming adversity through determination and hard work. His fascination with technology began when his father purchased a computer in the early 1990s; disassembling it sparked a lifelong passion for computers that set him on his schooling and career path.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Boakye is known for his civic engagement as a mentor offering free mentorship sessions with Strive for College and as a supporter of various nonprofit organizations dedicated to youth STEM and community betterment.
Mr. Boakye's accomplishments and exemplary leadership at the intersection of technology engineering and cybersecurity have seen him honored by public sector industry notably, he received recognition for the outstanding engineering and migration of virtual desktop infrastructure by the program executive director and Senior Executive Service (SES) of United States Department of Defense and for exceptional design architecture, infrastructure modernization, and cloud migration initiatives that led to improved scalability, security, and reliability for mission-critical application systems by the client Network Operations Director, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Chief Information Officer and Chief Mission Assurance Director at the Department of Defense Naval Program Contract.
Outside of work, Mr. Boakye maintains an active lifestyle by working out and playing soccer, football and basketball. Married and a proud father, he is deeply devoted to balancing his family with his career aspirations.
