Mr. Guerry's professional journey is marked by a diverse and accomplished career spanning law, public service, entrepreneurship and ranching. A retired litigation attorney of 30 years, he has been operating Mark J. Guerry Consulting since 2021, providing general consulting services to clients that draw upon his extensive background in litigation and law enforcement. Additionally, Mr. Guerry operates a skip tracing business focused on locating individuals who have disappeared while on bond.

Mr. Guerry's commitment to security and public safety is further evident through his work in private driving, secure transportation and personal security services. With a background in law enforcement, boxing and martial arts, as well as training in firearms and self-defense, he offers bodyguard services and secure driving for clients requiring heightened protection.

While still managing his law practice, Mr. Guerry launched Mark J. Guerry Enterprises Inc. in 2007, which manages his other business interests. As the owner and operator of Little House Creek Ranch in Rogerson, Idaho, Mr. Guerry oversees a portion of the family ranch that has been in his family for three generations. Notably, the property was deeded to him following the division of Guerry Incorporated after his father's passing in 2005. Under Mr. Guerry's stewardship, the ranch continues to reflect the spirit of the Old West while embracing modern opportunities, such as Airbnb hospitality and livestock transportation services.

From 2021 to 2023, Mr. Guerry served as a special deputy sheriff for Owyhee County after retiring from a distinguished 30-year career as a litigation attorney. In this capacity, he completed eight weeks at the police academy at age 63 and contributed to community safety by apprehending felons and protecting residents along Idaho's high border county with Nevada.

Among other ventures, Mr. Guerry's dedication to firearms education was reflected in his role as an instructor for the legal aspects of the enhanced concealed weapons carry permit in Twin Falls County and Jerome County. Teaching under his company as an attorney, Mr. Guerry led four-hour classroom sessions on the legal use of deadly force and assisted with range instruction focusing on practical skills such as grip, sight alignment and trigger control.

Mr. Guerry's legal career began in 1991 with the establishment of his private practice, Mark J. Guerry, a general practice law firm, where he specialized in civil, criminal litigation and family law for three decades. During his tenure, he gained recognition for handling high-profile criminal cases that garnered media attention statewide. Mr. Guerry also had the opportunity to serve as a conflict public defender, prosecutor across four jurisdictions for nearly a decade, and serve as a special deputy attorney general appointed by the legislature of the state of Idaho.

Mr. Guerry's academic achievements include earning a bachelor's degree in Spanish with an emphasis on criminal justice at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho, and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Idaho in Moscow in 1990. His proficiency in the Basque language was recognized when he was featured for excelling beyond all others in the Boise State group, a testament to his dedication to cultural heritage.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Guerry has demonstrated leadership within industry organizations. He served as the president of the Fifth District Bar Association in 2005 and previously held roles as the vice president and secretary within the organization.

Civic engagement has also been central throughout Mr. Guerry's life. He has provided pro bono legal services statewide, volunteered for disaster relief efforts with Team Rubicon and the Knights of Columbus, including serving as an interpreter and an equipment operator, and supported local food banks through donations. Additional contributions include supporting the Salt and Light Radio station, and participating in statewide catholic drives as a devout member of the catholic church. Mr. Guerry is also recognized as a Fourth-Degree Knight who has served as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus and is active in Tang Soo Do martial arts and the USA Boxing master's division.

Throughout his legal tenure, Mr. Guerry was known for his aggressive litigation style and results-oriented approach, successfully managing hundreds of cases, including those involving child protection. As a child protection prosecutor, a civil position, he prosecuted cases involving children at risk of neglect or abuse, an emotionally demanding responsibility that influenced his decision to retire.

Mr. Guerry's commitment to public service has been recognized with honors, such as the Sheriff's Award from Twin Falls County. Eager for future success, he continues to seek new opportunities and plans to apply for a federal firearms license to become a dealer specializing initially in Colt Firearms before expanding into other American-made brands, such as Smith & Wesson and Springfield Armory. Moreover, Mr. Guerry remains focused on honoring his heritage through stewardship of Little House Creek Ranch and ongoing service to others within his community and beyond.
