Since 2001, he has served as owner and director of Latin Gate Customs Brokers, Inc., a company originally founded with his wife, Nilda. In 2009, he founded an underground utility contracting firm primarily servicing municipalities. Under his direction, these firms have become recognized for their expertise in managing customs and other government agency compliance for clients importing goods into the United States, and through the contracting, providing utility upgrade and installation to municipalities in South Florida. Mr. Sierra's responsibilities now are focused on staying abreast of evolving import regulations, consulting and assisting customers with CBP and other import related matters. Mr. Sierra is most proud of his role as father and best buddy to his special needs son Christian.

Mr. Sierra spent three years overseas as country sales director in Venezuela from 1998 to 2001. In this capacity, he managed national sales operations and maintained key relationships with markets across Europe, Asia, and the United States. His international experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of global trade dynamics and regulatory environments.

From 1986 to 2012, Mr. Sierra advanced through several roles within various shipping lines. He began his tenure in traffic and documentation before moving into sales, sales management, and ultimately P&L management. His work spanned diverse markets, including Asia, Mexico, United States, South America, the Caribbean, and Central America. This period was instrumental in developing his expertise in logistics, market development, and client relations.

Mr. Sierra's academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, earned in 1994, and a bachelor's degree from Florida International University, completed in 1992. His formal education has been integral to his professional achievements, equipping him with advanced business acumen that supports his leadership in shipping and construction.

In addition to his professional pursuits, Mr. Sierra has contributed to civic initiatives as a board member for Community Outreach Service to Parents with Special Needs Children and is active in his son's activities through his Adult Day Training program. This reflects his dedication to the cause of supporting families navigating the unique challenges of having loved ones with special needs.

Born in Miami Beach, Mr. Sierra is dedicated to friends and family. He finds fulfillment in caring for his son with special needs, enjoys reading business and finance reference books, fishing, hiking in nature, and an occasional good cigar.
