Ms. Rios has established a distinguished career in the field of occupational safety and health, currently serving as a project safety advisor and owners' representative on contract with Microsoft Datacenters since 2025. In this capacity, she is responsible for overseeing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards during complex construction projects. Ms. Rios's expertise in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling, air quality and noise, lighting, incident investigations and safety software has been instrumental in maintaining high standards of workplace safety.

Additionally, Ms. Rios holds the concurrent role of owners' representative with Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC beginning in 2024. Her responsibilities include advocating for client interests and upholding rigorous safety measures throughout various phases of construction and operational activities.

Before these appointments, Ms. Rios contributed her skills as a third-party client safety representative, focusing on contract positions for new construction projects. Notably, she served for more than a year as a representative for Golden Triangle Polymers in Orange, Texas, a joint venture between Chevron and Qatar Energy, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to safety standards during major construction efforts.

From 2012 to 2023, Ms. Rios was employed by S&B Engineers and Constructors Ltd., where she advanced from safety manager to supervisor. In 2011, she briefly worked for Ohmstede Ltd. (now part of EMCOR Group Inc.), where she contributed to the company's safety initiatives. Between 2008 and 2011, Ms. Rios excelled as a safety specialist and engineer III at Bechtel Corporation, gaining valuable experience in large-scale industrial environments.

Among numerous other progressive roles, Ms. Rios's foundational expertise was developed at Turner Construction Company from 2002 to 2005 as a safety technician and simultaneously as a permit writer and certified safety specialist with OnPoint between 2002 and 2004. Her earliest role began as a process technician operator at Geon Performance Solutions LLC, Oxyvnyl and Akzo Nobel N.V., starting in 1993.

She is a safety professional with recognized credentials from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), including the Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). These certifications reflect a well-rounded foundation that bridges executive-level safety leadership with hands-on field experience. She demonstrates the ability to lead and influence strategic safety initiatives and programs at an organizational level while maintaining strong, practical expertise in occupational health, industrial hygiene, and construction safety operations. Ms. Rios is also known for aligning safety performance with business objectives, driving compliance, and fostering a culture of safety excellence across all levels of an organization.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rios has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing workplace safety standards. Her membership in the National Association of Women in Construction, the American Society of Safety Professionals and the National Society of Leadership and Success at Columbia Southern University reflects her dedication to professional development and leadership within the industry. Beyond her professional pursuits, Ms. Rios is civically engaged as a volunteer with her local church, reflecting a commitment to community service.

Ms. Rios attributes her achievements to perseverance, a value instilled by her parents, who were migrant farm workers with limited formal education but unwavering determination. Their example inspired her commitment to education despite frequent relocations during childhood that disrupted consistent schooling.
