Lauded as a level II trauma center, the facility provides in-house specialists to patients every day of the year with services that include cardiovascular, neuro, orthopedic, bariatric and, among other areas, interventional pulmonology. Before joining Regional Medical Center, Ms. Okeke was employed by Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in San Bernardino, California, as a staff and charge nurse.

Throughout her tenure in the field, Ms. Okeke was responsible for patient admissions from the emergency room, preparing rooms and supplies, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, implementing treatment plans and administering medications. Among other daily duties, she was tasked with coordinating laboratory work and ensuring positive patient outcomes. Her expertise as a trauma nurse was instrumental in managing critical situations and providing high-quality care.

Beyond her clinical contributions, Ms. Okeke taught the next generation of medical professionals as a college professor for several years. Currently, she is seeking a full-time position as a college professor. Her goal is to empower and inspire future generations of nurses, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of the nursing profession.

Ms. Okeke's educational background has been foundational to her professional achievements. She earned a bachelor's degree in registered nursing from the University of Southern California in 1996 and a master's degree in nursing administration from the University of Phoenix in 2009. Ms. Okeke's academic credentials are complemented by certifications, including registered nurse trauma/medical surgical certification from the California Board of Registered Nursing in 1996 and advanced cardiac life support from the American Red Cross in 2021.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Okeke is actively involved in civic initiatives. She volunteers with various charitable organizations, including schools and veterans' groups, such as Veterans of Foreign Wars. She also donates to causes like American War Heroes and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
