Marked by more than two decades of invention and global impact, Dr. Buyuksahin has led a distinguished career at the intersection of technology, academia, engineering and entrepreneurship. Since 2018, he has served as president and chief executive officer of Sensobright Industries LLC, a Delaware-based company operating from Portland, Oregon, where he has led groundbreaking advancements in robotics, touch sensors and AI. Under his leadership, the company has become recognized for its innovative contributions to robotics, AI, healthcare and medical technologies - especially about cancer treatment and diagnosis technologies. He also serves as president and chief executive officer of New Human Technologies Inc., where he directs the development of advanced neuromodulation technologies. By combining innovations from both organizations, Dr. Buyuksahin is helping pioneer technologies that may enable future prosthetic devices or artificial limbs to restore sense of touch to users.

Dr. Buyuksahin's expertise has resulted in over 200 granted patents across the United States, Japan and Europe, including 165 patents specifically in touch sensing technologies. Among his significant intellectual property achievements are patents in robotics sensor systems, medical technology and neuromodulation devices, image processing algorithms and vehicle/avionics control systems.

Garnering global recognition for his pioneering work, Dr. Buyuksahin was honored to be a "Knight" (Sir)(Chevalier) in February 2026 by The Order of Saint George for his transformative technologies benefiting all of humanity, particularly within the medical field. He was named among the top 25 scientists worldwide by the Falling Walls Foundation in 2019, an honor determined by a jury that included the president of the Nobel Foundation and the general manager of Nature Magazine. His accolades also include being listed among the top 10 smartest personalities in robotics by Fortune Times Magazine and as one of the world's top 10 technology executives to watch by World's Leaders Magazine. He's been invited to over 20+ conferences and technology events as Keynote Speaker all around the world.

In addition to his executive role at Sensobright Industries and New Human Technologies Inc. Dr. Buyuksahin serves as the CEO of High-Tech Mechatronic Systems LLC and HTMSS Ltd. Over the course of nearly 15 years, his leadership at HTMSS has further solidified his reputation as an innovator within high technology.

Dr. Buyuksahin's academic career is equally notable. From 2022 to 2025, he was a full professor at Antalya Science University (remotely), where he contributed to research initiatives and mentored future engineers and scientists. Prior to this appointment, he served as an associate professor at Yildiz Technical University from 2015 to 2018 and assistant professor there from 2011 to 2015. His early academic tenure included serving as an assistant professor lieutenant at the Turkish Military Academy from 2011 to 2012.

Before entering academia full-time, Dr. Buyuksahin worked independently as a specialist in research and development as well as software development for mechanical and electrical projects from 2002 to 2011. This formative period laid a strong foundation for his later innovations and entrepreneurial ventures at Sensobright Industries and beyond.

Alongside his primary roles, Dr. Buyuksahin is a lifetime member of the Association of the United States Army and maintains memberships with the Washington County Police Officers Association and the Oregon Sheriff's Association.

Hailing from an extensive and multidisciplinary educational background, Dr. Buyuksahin earned a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from Yildiz Technical University in 2010 after completing a master's degree in mechanical engineering there in 2006.
